The question that would be asked, is why you did not use the ICAS to evaluate the CIPM since they were the ones that evaluated your first degree. Also, I am not familiar with ICAS, but I know that WES evaluation gives you a description for your credentials that matches the CIC's descriptions, so you clearly know where you stand with all you certificates as a whole... so with WES if you want to add an extra certificate you basically just pay a top up fee and they add it to your original profile and provide an updated evaluation for the whole thing... with ICAS though, I'm not very sure.

Based on my understanding, these are your options:-

1. Because it is much easier and straightforward and just a better idea to evaluate all credentials with the same Coy, you could call or email ICAS; tell them that you have an additional document you want to assess which is your CIPM (include details). Then explain that you'd like to avoid wasting your time and theirs which is why you thought to ask first how they typically evaluate CIPM or what they would evaluate it as.

I honestly don't know anyone who has had different creds evaluated by different companies, so i'm not sure how or if it works that way, but if they will evaluate it favourably, then that will be the ideal option and it makes everything super easy and straightforward for you.

2. If it turns out that ICAS does not evaluate CIPM favourably, then you could either get your CIPM separately evaluated by WES (but you should inquire as to if it's okay to have different evals, I don't know anything about that); or you could do the entire thing with WES, including your Bsc. You should bear in mind, that WES will charge you the same amount to evaluate just your CIPM, as if you did both your BSc and your CIPM. The only difference between evaluating just your CIPM with WES and doing ALL your credentials again with WES, is the additional cost and stress of having to get your transcripts again, doing the whole verification process and getting WAEC results sent. This process can be a bit tedious, though it may be easier than the first time.

3. Also, to further increase your scores, you could also have your spouse do IELTS and try to score as high as possible, I think you can get up to 20 or 30 points for just spouse's IELTS score alone if your spouse gets a very high score. However, considering the cost and wait time of IELTS exams, you should aim to only do this after a lot of prep and practice.

All the best!

Well, to increase your score, you can take the BCS certificate in IT, It gives you additional 37 Points. Compunet Limited is one of their center in Nigeria. You can check BCS website to access their Approve center contact details.

Is it a must for both spouses to do ietls and also evaluate their certificates
This isn't compulsory. People do it if they need additional points from their spouse. Simulate your score here, and for info on your spouse, put no education and no IELTS and see what you get, if it is high enough for you, then go ahead.

You would only have to mention your spouse's education in personal history.

Can’t just only the husband or the wife do the all process (ietls and Wes)and leave the other person out. But they will still end up applying together.
You can if you feel you have enough points to get ITA. Make sure you simulate your score properly.

I wish you all the best!

The rate at which Asians are migrating to Canada is alarming. I took my first IELTS exam here in Dubai last Saturday. There are over 30 centres here. At my centre, I was the only African among the 70 candidates who wrote. I observed high level of malpractice although, the examiners did not notice it. In that hall, about 5 machineries were there and since the seating arrangement is so close, people tend to copy from each other codedly. The only area I know there was no cheating was in writing and speaking since no two persons are expected to write the same thing.

Dear Experts,

I need your advise. I got a refusal letter on my application today which does not add up. The denial ground was that I did not have sufficient proof of funds but I do have funds to the total of CAD20990 with stanbic mutual funds. The minimum requirement for my family size is CAD19390. My mutual funds states categorically that I have full access to it and can liquidate it in partial or fully. The last GCMS notes I requested that I got last week did not state anything about issues with POF. It only said it requires further review. I don't even know what to do at this moment. I need advise please. I still have additional funds in my other accounts but did not bother to raise a CSE cause I thought i had passed the minimum POF. Is there an email I can contact or some phone number to reach to state my case and show that I have enough funds?

Waiting your advice on next steps or even a way forward

It shouldn't be compulsory.

I believe the staff you met is just trying to pull a fast line on you. Na dem. Bank marketers, we sabi do so. If u insist u are not opening g an account and say you will visit the arm or subsidiary managing the fund, I am certain the staff will budge.

I no wan mention bank name but the account will count for the person na

Thanks a lot. However the bank insists i must have an account with them, maybe I’ll have to try other options.

Raise a CSE and plead your application be reopened. Maybe the exchange rate used affected the final figure. 20990 is quite close to 19390 Update your POF with the additional dated funds that you have.
Do whatever you have to do before your RPRF is processed and refunded. When is your AOR?

I'm so sorry this happened to you.

But really the rate at which ppl with above 450 score enter the pool is scary...remember there was a draw on the 12th that took out 3600 ppl,and by august 15th as per distribution above 451 is over 7k imagine if they didnt do a back to back draw maybe na 15k go dey pool grin

quote author=oluwaahmed post=81440528]
Not really. From the graph below we can see that 3600 people were issued ITA from 457-1200. Meaning that 3,565 people are left in the range of 451-600 as at Aug 15. Now I don't think an additional 1,500 peeps will have occupied the pool by today, maybe by next draw sha. I sha hope that at least the month of septmber will see peeps on 451 and above rejoicing so it can also come down to the batch of 450
This EE is not for the weak. Just 1 week interval ooo shocked

I'm sure exchange rate is the culprit. What exchange rate did you use for the POF? Make sure that the additional funds you're submitting is dated. (I mean like 6months old or 3 months old) just to show that it's not a new funds that you just acquired.

Raise CSE and pray. Miracles do happen.

Hi all. Please I need assistance.

I don't know what to do and may have to decline my ITA for the 4th time. I have declined it 3 times now and I have just received another one.

My issue is that my wife applied to SA embassy in Lagos for SA visa. Till date, her passport is still with them. This means she is unable to go for medicals (from what I have read on this thread, passport is required). This has been the major reason for my declining each time.

Is there anything I can do please? Thank you.

My Journey
It all started on a particular day in September 2017, I was bored at work (I have always been tired of my job.. After understanding the whole process I was able to convince my parent. Afterwards, the first thing I did was to register for IELTS then I registered for WES on the 31/10/2017.. I wrote the first IELTS and got (L8 R8.5 W7 S6.5).. I hadn’t found out about this nairaland thread so when my friend advised me to remark I was like NO that I will write another one. Meanwhile during the strike I registered for another IELTS but the result was worse than the first one; LRWS- 7.5,8,6.5,6.5. Seeing the result I decided to wait for my WES evaluation to be completed.. Finally the result came out(LRSW- 8.5, 9, 7, 7) and I was at work then, I just entered the toilet and was crying and thanking God...

Finally thanks to this wonderful thread that made the journey easy, I started following this thread when it was in part 3 and I made sure I read from part 1 and that helped me a lot.
