You need to fill those 7 or so forms and save first, then you'll see a "continue" button and the checklist will appear based on your answers previously entered.

Email both clinics to get a date.

I did medicals last week at Qlife and the post below is pretty accurate (except prices have gone up a bit).

If you're driving there, go early so you can find parking space on the adjacent street. The street where Qlife is located was undergoing construction as of last week.

I went as early as 6:50am to write my name and I was already #6. Lagos people no dey sleep. Then my family joined me at a few minutes before 8. Noticed two other families doing the same thing. (Edit: if you want to use this "hack", make sure your family will actually get there by 8. If not, they will attend to others on the list until your family appears and you would lose valuable time).

Being early helps as we were able to finish just before 11am

Can you blot out your personal information and share the refusal letter here. It's better to know exactly what to address beyond just adding funds

gretop:
Dear Experts,

I need your advise. I got a refusal letter on my application today which does not add up. The denial ground was that I did not have sufficient proof of funds but I do have funds to the total of CAD20990 with stanbic mutual funds. The minimum requirement for my family size is CAD19390. My mutual funds states categorically that I have full access to it and can liquidate it in partial or fully. The last GCMS notes I requested that I got last week did not state anything about issues with POF. It only said it requires further review. I don't even know what to do at this moment. I need advise please. I still have additional funds in my other accounts but did not bother to raise a CSE cause I thought i had passed the minimum POF. Is there an email I can contact or some phone number to reach to state my case and show that I have enough funds?

Waiting your advice on next steps or even a way forward

Its ITA!!

Thank God for this thread with so much information. I planned using WES but read here that IQAS is good for lawyers and then the long wait to get ECA began.

Did ielts in January and the result was
L-8.5
R-8.5
S-8.0
W-7.0

Hubby did his evaluation too and our together, i had 444. This was in January when the points were still low so we felt he did not need to do ielts. By the time ECA arrived, the points kept going up and hubby was not ready to write ielts. I sha created profile in February. I just faced other things and i lost 5 marks on my birthday which made it down to 439.

He finally wrote ielts last month and scored.
L- 9.0
R-7.5
S-7.5
W-6.5

I picked up his TRF just last Friday and updated. we stood at 457 and i was considering either a remark or another ielts.

surprisingly yesterday, we got ITA!!!.

Thank you for all the invaluable tips we receive here.

Please i read about the possibility of using 25% pension funds for POF. Since I will be using funds from i and hubby's account, can we use the 25% separately to make up the funds or it must only be from one party?

clarification would be very much appreciated.

Thank you and congratulations to other ITA receipents and we pray for more favourable draws to those in the pool

Your IELTS is the problem apparently. Every other thing is on point. Write another one and get better scores, at least 8777 in LRSW

The rate at which Asians are migrating to Canada is alarming. I took my first IELTS exam here in Dubai last Saturday. There are over 30 centres here. At my centre, I was the only African among the 70 candidates who wrote. I observed high level of malpractice although, the examiners did not notice it. In that hall, about 5 machineries were there and since the seating arrangement is so close, people tend to copy from each other codedly. The only area I know there was no cheating was in writing and speaking since no two persons are expected to write the same thing.
again my (our) doubts have been confirmed.

Hi all. Please I need assistance.

I don't know what to do and may have to decline my ITA for the 4th time. I have declined it 3 times now and I have just received another one.

My issue is that my wife applied to SA embassy in Lagos for SA visa. Till date, her passport is still with them. This means she is unable to go for medicals (from what I have read on this thread, passport is required). This has been the major reason for my declining each time.

Is there anything I can do please? Thank you.

Has she got a photocopy of her passport?
Has she got documents to support the claim that she submitted to the Embassy?

The personnel conducting the medicals are not ghost hence should not be unreasonable. They should see reason should the above documents be provided.

We tend to over analyze issues with the assumption that people are wicked. Most people are not really wicked, they do not just want people abusing a standard operating procedure/ process.

Your case is not the abuse of a process and explanation should suffice. Not all Nigerians are fraudulent

In this age, ITA is very expensive o wink

All the best.

I can't remember the CAD value but it was 40k in naira when my friend did it for one of his certifications... this was around July last year. If they have not changed the fee in CAD and I think exchange rate has remained pretty much stable since then, so it should still be about the same thing.

Pls how much is this "top up fee" if you want to add a certificate for evaluation with WES

please put your mind at ease, you have no issue whatsoever, mail ralph, raise a CSE stating the misconception. If you can add to that amount please do just as rosepetraaa said earlier. this is just a case of human error. seems village people want to use the VO and his supervisor, dem no reach God pass them

Re: Canadian Express Entry/federal Skilled Workers Program - Connect Here Part 8 by ladymarshall: 9:56am On Aug 21, 2019
You have to keep appealing to the SA embassy to make a quick decision on her application so her passport can be released. If that fails, she may have to withdraw her SA visa application and request for her passport to be resent. Embassies don't hasten decisions just because you have applied to another.

Where I did my meds... I think its a place called "The Children's Practice" or something. It was in VI... I believe off Awolowo way. My passport was with the UK embassy, so I used my photocopy. I had my expired passport with me but they said it does not matter that they can't use expired ID, so they collected photocopy of my current passport (it was not a certified copy, but for reasons like this, it also pays to have certified copies of your important documents). Anyway, they collected my photocopy, and wrote on it that the original was not seen or something like that. And I was able to do my medicals like that. If you are in Lagos, you could call them and double check if this is still an acceptable practice. I did my medicals in August 2018 and it was a breeze, but I hear things have gotten a bit more chaotic.

My Journey
It all started on a particular day in September 2017, I was bored at work (I have always been tired of my job even from the very first day I started) and I was chatting with a neighbor. During our conversation which was about getting a school either in the US or Canada for Masters. She mentioned going to Canada as a PR through Express Entry, I have always known about Express Entry but I didn’t have much information and I knew my parents wouldn’t allow me go there that way. Anyways, she explained the whole process and I was over interested. After understanding the whole process I was able to convince my parent. Afterwards, the first thing I did was to register for IELTS then I registered for WES on the 31/10/2017 I wrote the first IELTS and got (L8 R8.5 W7 S6.5) I hadn’t found out about this nairaland thread so when my friend advised me to remark I was like NO that I will write another one. Unilag on the other hand wasted my time until Nasu strike started. While waiting for Nasu to call off their strike I was looking for ways to get two or more certificates so I was stuck between using my Unilag Diploma and my CIPM (Please note that I didn’t know that Unilag diploma was evaluated as one degree with your Bsc) I finally decided to go with Unilag Diploma, but when I found out the stress involved I decided to remove diploma and replace it with CIPM but they said they couldn’t remove it. So instead of adding CIPM I decided to wait for WES to complete the evaluation which was completed on 31st of July 2018. Meanwhile during the strike I registered for another IELTS but the result was worse than the first one; LRWS- 7.5,8,6.5,6.5. Seeing the result I decided to wait for my WES evaluation to be completed before writing another one. After my WES came out in July I decided to upgrade to two or more certificates by using my CIPM but before I could register for an upgrade, WES came out with the WAEC thing. I went ahead anyway hoping I wouldn’t be affected but na lie them no gree, I sent countless mails telling them they could use scratch card but them still no gree. I accepted my fate and went to process my WAEC transcript. While waiting for WAEC verification I heard WES was accepting scratch cards, so I joined a whatsapp group from nairaland, someone was going to get the scratch card for us and also help with taking it to the courier office, all we did was donate money (May God bless that person). Finally my WES evaluation began, so I registered for IELTS exams for December 15, 2018. Come and see reading, fasting and prayer, I didn’t know I was that religious and I could take an exam so serious. I PMed Oga Wassaynest for Liz paid materials for writing which he sent to me (May god bless that man who is now a stranger turned brother now). After writing the exam, the two weeks wait period before the result comes out was the longest ever or so I thought. In fact at a point I was wondering if I could sleep and wake up in two weeks’ time  . Finally the result came out(LRSW- 8.5, 9, 7, 7) and I was at work then, I just entered the toilet and was crying and thanking God. I couldn’t get the hardcopy of my IELTS result immediately because of the Christmas holiday, so on the 2nd of January 2019 I decided to kill 2 birds with one stone, I was the first person at alagbon at 6:50am because I wanted to collect police report  afterwards I went straight to BC’s office for my result which could have been delivered to me by the way. I updated my profile immediately in case there was a draw that day (Please note that I had created my profile with my first WES evaluation and first IELTS). But the draw occurred the following week on Thursday January 10th, 2019. For medicals I used IOM because they are closer to me and QLIFE was overbooked, my medicals was on the 30th of January 2019 and immediately after my medicals I submitted my application.
Now this is when the real wait happens and I thought two weeks was long  two weeks wait is nothing compared to waiting for 5 months 23 days. Me that was praying for 2 months processing time, they showed me pepper. My parents forced me to order GCMS notes and I guess that triggered something because I got an ADR for schedule A and additional family information a week later.
When they say this journey isn’t for the faint hearted, it really isn’t. Sometimes I wonder how I survived the past months, my anxiety was on another level, it was crazy. I even have to pinch myself and remind myself that this is actually happening and that I’m leaving this country, it can get scary though because I will be leaving all my family and friends behind to start a new life. Finally thanks to this wonderful thread that made the journey easy, I started following this thread when it was in part 3 and I made sure I read from part 1 and that helped me a lot.

Congratulations to you. Happy for you. Please would you assist me with the Liz videos, I’ll appreciate. Email is loulouislight@gmail.com

I assume your score is high enough since you keep getting ITA so no need to fret.

If you must go ahead without her passport, I actually did my medicals without mine. I gave them a photocopy but they noted on my report that they could not confirm my identity. I included details of the incident in my LOE and have long passed my medicals.
