Glo has added another band to their lte frequency. Glo 4g lte now work on band 3, same band with 9mobile and Airtel. You can use ur unluck swift 4g mifi huawei 5372s-601 to connect glo 4g now. Huawei mifi 5372s-601 work on Band 3/20/38/40 (FDD 1800/2600MHz & TDD 2300/2600MHz) mtn is on band 7 and band 20, smile network is on band 20, swift is on band 40, spectranet is on band 40. So if you already have swift huawei 5372s-601 mifi, you just unluck it and use any o these SIM card or check ur mobile phone for these band compactibility.

I was told Delta state will be live by the end of September.
But priority is given to tertiary institutions

inserted 4g sim in Enugu. endless search for network. not Glo 4G in Enugu as of yet.

Not yet available in Abuja. They started the deployment of band 3 (1800) in the South west since last year. I wonder why it is taking so long to deploy it nationwide.

I don't think this is true. My unlocked Huawei mifi can't detect Glo 4G rather the 3G unless the 4G is not available in Port Harcourt.

presently in lagos glo 4g is working perfectly on band 3 check if your phone support band 3 and insert glo 4g sim and confirm.

If you have glo 4g Working for you on band 3, please reply with your location to save stress.

Your phones are probably not the problem, it's location.

How do I know the bands my phone supports? I have a 4g sim and I'm not in Lagos. My neighbour uses Glo 4g with his infinix. Why can't my phone do same.

True glo no longer operates on the single lte band 28, however not all sites in lagos have been integrated into the new lte band. So if you dont get 4g on your phone be patient.


I also observed that not all the so called glo 4g sim have 4g enabled on it. You might need to confirm that your sim has 4g enabled from a band 28 supported device first.

I see. Thanks for this info. I've been wondering why my phone doesn't show 4g whenever I insert my glo Sim and my phone support both band 28 and 3 and 4g was clearly written at the back of the Sim card

Do a walk-in to their office, 4g will be activated on the sim within 24hrs
