garfield1: Hey stop coaching. I am at liberty to support anyone's position at anytime. He took his time to update and those without updates are simply using foul languages as argument just so they may make comments. In the matter at hand, the written addresses were in response to what happened at the trial with judicial references. Each party responded to one another's grounds why not folks here stick to what is now in the open but, simply insult. Buhari is already the president and the worst that can happen to atiku/pdp has already happen any ruling that addresses the grievances of the petitioner will be massive even if buhari's victory is affirmed. As an evolved man, I take most insulting comments to be from younger generations aka youth. Some days in the future, they will become measured in utterance rather than exuberant! |

Afamed:Again, it is only people like you that scream democracy under threat where judgement of court goes against them. Democracy is in motion and continue to evolve. The court rulings are part and parcel of democracy. They are the final caps. A ruling today becomes a basis for another tomorrow. Those who benefit from it today, may be on the receiving side tomorrow. So why is democracy in danger? |

A matured mind takes every judgement as it come. Everybody is right to his own submission. Running and exeberating about thereby creating nuisance is a childish behaviour. 1 Like |

garfield1:All the issues raised are serious. The result/certificate stuff is engaging more attention cos most people are lazy brains who rather cherry pick the easiest item on the table. With the cert it appears straightforward that is why even the buhari team were clearly jittery and shakened! The hurried procurement of documents during pendency of a trial is fundamentally flawed. All the legal team is trying to do is to muddle the petitioners case for which the petitioners reffused to take their baits. Atiku's petition is far more compelling than Adeleke's. 1 Like 1 Share |

Your analysis is lucid and convincing. However as we all know, the judiciary is compromised and has become the weak point in Nigerias democracy. That is what bubu is counting on. |

engineerboat:Buhari did not present three certificates bearing different names.Let leave sentiments. He is educationally qualified to contest in view of the constitutional requirement to contest as the president.....Section 140 of the constitution says ....educated to the secondary school level or it's equivalent....The result he used which was also tendered in court qualifies him to contest.... |

Afamed: He and even pdp made issue out of buhari not having certs that led to the army publicly denying having the said certs. However, buhari instead of providing the certs raised a team of SANs to defend himself dragging the issue till the elections. Once the elections were done and results known, Jonathan in Godly wisdom congratulated buhari and asked the pdp to discontinue any legal tussle. It was exemplary cos challenging buhari further with issue of cert under the very volatile situation would have led to bloodbath. FACT. Today, it is not a christian minority southerner against the almighty buhari and his cult followers but, same against same! This is why for the first time the cert issue has reached this level of judicial scrutiny. It is now up to the judiciary to put the matter to bed once and for all. The judgement will be a landmark in the annals of our jurisprudence on the interpretation of qualification. Whether Atiku wins or not, evolved citizens are too interested in what the position of the courts will be for posterity sakes. All thanks to Atiku. What most won't be happy with is a technical judgement. |
