Nice try, very correct as Jos drops as low as 11 degrees during harmattan , in the last 3years especially. But I believe Kastina drops far lower than Kano cos of the night desert winds. 82 Likes 7 Shares |

czarina: AccuWeather App is never wrong. It matches exactly with reports of media channels like CNN and BBC. Its impossible to get below 10 in Jtown in recent years. So tell me how u got 5 degrees? 10 Likes 1 Share |

dgitrader:just wait, I'll find the screenshot, I just hope I haven't deleted it. This was Dec 2017 or so. Not sure. Modified: Couldn't find it, I remember sharing the screenshot on my status then. You don't have to believe me though but I see no reason why I'd lie about a temperature. Also, the week I spent time recording those, the highest I saw was 8 degrees. People have recorded lower. 17 Likes 2 Shares |

If Taraba is not on the list, then the list is fake. Mambila plateau in Taraba and pankshin in plateau are the coldest places in Nigeria. 53 Likes 2 Shares |

czarina: Wow. I just did a search and found out u are correct. From several sources but here's one... http://www.myweather2.com/City-Town/Nigeria/Jos/climate-profile.aspx?month=12 The lowest ever recorded is 4.4 degrees in recent years. Give it to Jos! Plateau State is the coldest state in Nigeria as OP stated, but Pokistom is the coldest town. 23 Likes 3 Shares |

heskeyw:True, I heard Pankshin and Mangu are both freezing cold. Jos is the popular place on the plateau, not surprised they frequently overlook the other areas like the two above. 24 Likes 1 Share |

dgitrader:You see, I told you so ( ) Even now, if you're on the plateau you'll agree it's still cold. Can't remember the last time I walked barefoot inside or stayed indoors without a headwarmer. Sometimes I even doubt if Accu Weather gets the correct temperature 27 Likes 1 Share |

czarina:I served in plateau and we camped in mangu lga. The cold I witnessed there eh was 5times more than the one I witnessed in bassa and in jos. Later, an NYSC official told us that the cold in mangu is nothing when compared to the one in pankshin. He talk say pankshin na the baba for cold. 39 Likes 2 Shares |

Re: Coldest States In Nigeria by czarina(f): 10:03am On Aug 22, 2019 |
heskeyw:Yeah, I heard same from Corp Members that camped in Mangu, same thing the camp officials told them. There was even this story then that in Mangu, they killed criminals by pouring water on them and leave them tied up overnight outside, they died the next morning. I don't think it's true though but the Corp members from Mangu at our fellowship then were feeding our ears repeatedly with the story. 17 Likes 1 Share |
