ShinaLe: Can you provide facts such as how much are their charges, what currency is required for the transaction to be successful, maximum amount that can be transferred and how many days it takes to get to the bank in Germany. This will enable us make informed decisions and thank you better later, Lol. 2 Likes |

LexRE: Bros can you kindly provide details of your transaction (how much in total was deducted, which class of account was used for the transaction, how much reflected on your German block account, how many days did it take to get to Germany) cos this your comment is unfortunately too good to be true for our Nigerian banks, at least our bankers here in our midst can attest to that fact. |

PeSt007: Bros pls kindly clarify, this is not quite clear. 0.5% of whatever you withdraw in which class of account abeg. Are you withdrawing money again after you have transferred money to your German block account or what. Please let's understand what you are saying |

This was what happened. My account officer misled me. I wanted to open a dorm account but didn't have references immediately. He asked me to open a 'savings dorm' account, with €500 euro minimum balance which I could later migrate to a 'current dorm', with €1 minimum balance, after providing references. I deposited €8k euros that day and got my references 2 days after and the story changed - they were unable to migrate my account. So they opened a new 'current dorm' for me and said they'd move my funds to the new account without charges, thereby closing my 'savings dorm'. Na so I leave bank after filling the necessary forms. Before I got home, they had moved my funds but not for free. They charged me €40 cos I moved €8k. I eventually got €7960 in the new account. On getting to the bank today, the staff said I was charged for the transfer. Any outflow from the account locally attracts 0.5% of the amount you're moving/withdrawing. Mine was even Access to Access fah. So i guess my response to the guy that was contemplating withdrawing his funds is clearer now. If he withdraws, they will charge him. Eldeee: |

Yeah. It's clearer and i can confirm what you stated. Saw it on their site this morning. They will charge 0.5% on my withdrawal. But i don't think i have a choice as time is not on my side. My account officer also misled me to deposit more than 9000 euros that day. But it has happened and i need to move on because time no dey. PeSt007: 1 Like |
Chill and be hopefull, your booking is on track. They gave a friend of mine AD (Aug 28) he booked on the 5th July used the same enrollment deadline as you. Another got Sept 4, booked 8th july same deadline as you Another got 26th Aug booked 10th july same deadline as you The october Deadline is still viable that is why they are issuing dates upon its availability If you noticed the dates have been awarded according to when you book and it must be an October deadline you used, from 2nd to 8th to 10th by next week hopefully more dates might be available but i only see people that booked between 10-20th of July with October deadlines getting surprise dates. Note this is for only those who used October deadlines in July cause their school doesn't extend enrollment. If you used November/December deadline this doesn't affect you and you have better chances of getting a date i recently cancelled and rebooked using December 10th as start date but my school could only extend my enrollment to November 15th .what are d implications of this. i haven't been given a date yet. |

Hi, I was suppose to use GTBank cause the money was in my GT account. I took aboki to the bank and was filling necessary form when the International transaction guy notified me that I can only pay in a total of 1000 Euro weekly.I had to rush and open access Bank.
Please, who has experience funding with GTBANK? I only use GTBank or do I have to open with access bank? |
Re: General German Student Visa Enquiries Part 7 by Saysay01: 8:36pm On Aug 22, 2019 |
Hi, So sorry about the stress you are going through. You have to make the payment in 2 tranches cause the limit is 10,000 Euro per day. Also, yes Fintiba allows more than a transaction.quote author=johnaolaniran post=81504340]Thank you for your reply. I just got a message from access bank now that my attempt to transfer wasn't successful because the euro i deposited into my dorm account at once was more than 10,000 dollars equivalent (max i can deposit in a day is 10,000 dollar equivalent). So confused right now because i don't know what to do. Probably i should go and withdraw everything (if it will be possible) and divide it into two to pay it into the account in 2 different days. And if i decide to do that is there any assurance my transfer to fitinba after dat willl be successful.
|

sassy92: Please I have some few questions, your kind response will be highly appreciated: 1.What date in December is ideal to use as my start date? 2.And with my 2.2 , should I apply using Cat A or Cat B? 3.Then for the Mawista Insurance registration, they are asking for the payment mode section, how do I fill that section? Thanks for your response |
