Custard is obviously more nutritious because it's a fortified pap. The only difference is that it's processed and got preservatives. But it's been fortified with nutrients 1 Like |

Oatmeal is best for you. Pap and custards are both full of carbohydrates with no fiber. ( empty nutritional content) I see that all you from breakfast to supper are all carbs. Please try and supplement your diet with some vegetables, fruits, and healthy fats like avocado. I see you use a lot of plastic plates, try and eat with china, stainless, glass or aluminum plates as plastic plates can be very harmful and cause some sorts of cancers, especially when use in the microwave or pour hot water to make garri. Instead of milk and sugar, opt for lupton or green tea with honey. Drink lots of water instead of soda, beers or liquor. God bless you 4 Likes |

Speed lane to killing your gut, bowel and colon. 20 years from today, it is very sure you will end up with gastro-intestinal specialist. Guy, the two (pap and custard) are from the same source. Corn is corn, but the ways they are processed make the difference. Custard is a capital No. And pap needs special attention. When you want to buy pap, consult the Ijebus. Ijebu garri, pap (ogi), fufu rock. Don't ever buy garri and pap from SS, SE, or North oooo. Run down to SW. Consult the Ijebus on the way forward. Guy, everything partaking to grains and tubers like cassava, corn, soy, etc are GMOs. I mean it. 99.9999% seeds are GMO. These grains produced from GMO have anti nutritional substances. Some bind amino acids and minerals in grains so that they are locked up, and your body cannot absorb them, you just poo them out later. While others are toxins in the body which do you harm by destroying your gut initially, then, progress to autoimmune diseases, before they reach their final destination, which is cancer. Cancer is what you eat. It is as simple as ABC. Go take statistics, everyone who dumps GMOs and grains that aren't processed well don't get cancer. And those who quickly adjust their diet even after detecting cancer at early stage beat it nicely. Guy, there is a natural method to at least make these grains ok if you are an addict. Personaly, I'm going to suggest you keep off totally. Someone like me had to order for heirloom generational seeds that aren't GMO. And they are terrible scarce these days. It is easier for me because I am a farmer. So, what you need to do is consult the Ijebus and learn fermentation. When you put garri in your mouth, and you squeeze face, that's what you should buy. When you take pap (called ogi by the Yorubas), and it tastes sour, that's what you should go for. This is how I prepared mine. 1. I order pap (corn starch) from sellers who know about the Ijebu style. Even garri. Say no to yellow garri from the east. Na cancer oooo cos of GMOs. 2. I dry it. 3. I buy strawberry, other berries and banana. Note that, I buy green bananas that are unripe and I ripe them myself naturally. Don't go buy banana from traders and retailers. Na cancer ooo. Calcium Carbide is cancer. Research it and that is the chemical 99.9% traders and retailers use to ripen banana, mango, oranges, and some other fruits. 4. I dry my berries and self ripened banana. 5. I blend into powder 6. I mix Ijebu pap with dried fruits powder 7. You gat a better version of pap which is natural, and almost free (not 100% free) from toxins and anti nutrients. You better abandon bread totally, and find cassava flour bread. 100% cassava flour bread. Wheat bread is Lagos Ibadan Express Way to cancer. Fact. Go research it. The one called "Agege" bread is like boarding "Sosoliso" to Aso Rock. That airline? Hmmm! I lost a dear one in it too bro. Agege bread is Sosoliso. That akara you dey chop.....hmmmm. You better run for steamed bean called "Moi moi". And better take the one with palm oil if your blood group allows you to take it. Still eating fried food? Get your fibre elsewhere. That oat that is GMO 100%. You don't want to know the procedure in processing it these days. You will run for your dear life if you know. Sterope: If you want to understand what I am saying, take your best oatmeal for anti nutritional and toxin analysis. Then go and research further what you see there. You may even think the acceptable content is normal. lol. That's the gimmick of producers who are corrupting the system by collaborating with decision makers. I don't have the time to argue, the process is what I always give. Then, you will understand what is wrong with GMOs. And you will understand that the best oat they portray to you is poison. 99.9999% grains today are poison. WeRblessed: Don't get me wrong. Oat in its original state is very good. It is excellent. But these days, just avoid it in order not to give yourself bowel troubles in the future. Go and ask anyone with bowel issue how they run from oat and milk. Milk is good too, but there are issues with chemical cattles. I am so scared of this Ruga issue. On one hand, it is good to kick them out. On the other hand, it's cancer we are inviting. We need to be strategic the way we address issues in this country. All those chemical and homone cattle breeders are around. Didn't you see one mo.ron looking fat cattle that was posted on nairaland from Anambra government? Hmmmm! And guys were even hailing cancer. lol. Sir, there is no more natural oat. 100% GMO and produced with chemicals. I prefer to still source my food from local producers who still use heirloom seeds. |

weyreypey: SA there, near me? Congrats sir. People have been to other places. SA is just bus stop for many. If you eat anything grain, corn, millet, soy, etc. the chance of eating GMO is 99%. Go and check it very well. All starch from cassava too = GMO. Is it not IITA that is producing all cassava stems? I used to support these people. So, vitamin A cassava is natural. lol. Guy, you are eating 100% GMO. Even almost all ofada rice = GMO. Keep deceiving yourself there is better food in Nigeria than outside. Take your grains for anti nutrient and toxin test, and see for yourself. Not to even talk about pesticides farmers in Nigeria use. Go to Agric section on nairaland. and read naoo. You are looking for trouble if you advise any farmer to use pesticide wisely there. They will almost crucify you. They want profit by all means. You want to try warehouse owners? These ones are hor.rible. If you know chemicals they spray on grains to prevent rodents attack, you will never buy grains again. Just take your grains for analysis. Before you say anything, they shout "Agege" bread and "Aganyi" beans rock. Ok ooo. Both are killer food these days. Gone are the days they are very good. You better learn how to reduce pesticides and chemical content in your grains before cooking them. And stop eating outside. Oga, Naija is filled with GMOs, junks, and cancer now. Go and check, the statistics of cancer is getting high. But naija is a place we don't keep accurate statistics. Go to LUTH and UCH to see. You will return home sober. Find a cancer patient and observe him 1 - 6 days after Chemo. You will be sober for life. And the person may pass through that every week or forthnight for good 6 mths or more. Pap is definitely more better. It's natural while custard is processed. Processed meals are not good for the system. Take your pap regularly and custard occasionally. |

Its a bit embarrassing but na true. My mom said I took custard till I was over 3yrs old. I will take it every morning in a feeding bottle wearing my school uniform before heading to school at 3yrs old till she lied to me that it was ayama and disposed my beloved feeding bottle and I adjusted to other meals. Since then till now I have taken more custard in my lifetime than I have taken pap. My reasons 1. Apart from my love for custard. Pap has always been a gamble for me. In the sense that. When u make it (especially new one) it becomes watery.... God knows i hate watery pap. I will rather dispose it. 2. I have seen where some people are making pap. Most are usually very unhygienic and they use water that is not best for consumption 3. Sometimes u see small small black spots in pap and that alone is a turn off. For custard it is always ghen ghen especially when made properly and taking with evaporated milk and hot akara enveloped in fresh agege bread or my best food.... fried plantain with egg sauce.
