Danielnino00: Las Palmas is a long time in footballing terms, if Etebo was as good he would be playing that role at Stoke city Playing as a double pivot does not prevent you from joining attacks or controlling play like Kante and Matuidi did at the world cup 1 Like |

Earthquake1: Of all the midfielders we played at AFCON, Etebo held more of the ball than anyone else. Not knowing this means you actually didn't watch the AFCON objectively 6 Likes 1 Share |

somehow: Yes and he was apparently not good enough as we failed to dominate possession in any of our matches Ndidi (defending) and Iwobi (creating) can be excused but not Etebo |

Earthquake1: My ball holding is still what I stated from the start. "Calming" things and keeping "possession" for your side. |

Earthquake1: lol iwobi created? lol We failed to win possession in all our matches? Another fallacy from you. Etebo was the most ooutstanding midfielder for the SE at AFCON. most consistent What I am interested in is us getting a consistent creative midfielder that will set our attack and wingers on fire. https://www.soccercoachweekly.net/soccer-coaching/tips-advice/soccer-coaching-drills-and-tips-for-ball-holding-basics/ |

somehow: I never said win possession We played Burundi, Madagascar and Guinea for the fact that we failed to dominate any of those matches is an indictment on our midfield |

Earthquake1: What on earth are you saying? We failed to dominate like dominating possession by a mile but not dominating play? Which stats are you quoting here? |
Re: "The Super Eagles Thread: The Road To AFCON 2025 And 2026 World Cup by somehow: 11:15pm On Aug 23, 2019 |
Earthquake1: You're just throwing words around anyhow. We dominated all matches you quoted. Madagascar profited from 2 errors to score us. They never dominated us stats are there. Your argument is just floating anyhow |

Humility017: I challenge you to PROVE YOURSELF RIGHT . Just make one direct reference to one of my posts here not two, just one that's all. That can substantiate the nonsensical propositions you have presented in diction and substance . Perception is not fact it's self birthed, self created and self justified. So I'm not asking for your prejudiced paranoid based presumptions from your jaundiced views. But facts by diction. If you cannot that makes you the BIGGEST LIAR here because you actually believe your own lies. That's the worst type liar one who believes his own lies. So please don't go AWOL, EVADE and or use NOISE MAKING RHETORIC to shamelessly depart from the challenge question put to you. |

Earthquake1: My eyes are on Tega Onomah, people say he has not been consistent. That's actually true. However, why ❓ l have seen this quite a few times with players who have been fed a diet of purist technical football then to gain experience they go to pressing physical style of play team. When you have been at Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Liverpool you are taught from day one to play a certain way, ball on the deck technical intricate passing game. If you don't find a good technical team at the initial stage you will be inconsistent. That's why l want to see what Onomah will do in a team like Fulham under a manager he knows and knows him. This his chance to show what he can do. |

Lol,someone wrote that Etebo held more of the ball amongst our midfielders at AFCON......lol! Abeg which planet did that one happen? As far as I know, Etebo is just below average midfielder who plays for championship club Stoke city. His strength is the only positive thing about him. He cant keep possession,he cant distribute passes effectively. Funny enough, Ndidi is far better in that regards. look up for his counterparts in big teams to see what it looks like to be a CM/AM.
