We should not rejoice yet because US and China trade has taking another dimension https://thenationonlineng.net/trump-orders-all-us-companies-out-of-china/ And seriously this is not helping crude oil price https://oilprice.com/Energy/Oil-Prices/Oil-Prices-Plunge-As-China-Retaliates-With-Tariffs-On-US-Goods.html https://oilprice.com/Energy/Oil-Prices/Oil-Could-Plunge-By-30-If-China-Restores-Iranian-Oil-Imports.html We should watch our back, because crude oil price movement determine the direction of NSE market . |

The demo trading pearl head with super quickened mental faculty is back to let OGG know that he has successfully grown the $25,000 demo contest account to over $1 million . If you think it is easy to do on demo, abeg start your own and show us the result soon. I calibrate myself against my past. I am in no competition with anybody. I belong in a special class of my own. I sabi who I be! All these untop demo performance? Yeah, right! The knowledge of the Lion and the Bear was extremely helpful for David when he faced Goliath. Someday, sometime soon, I will get be trading a huge amount and the knowledge with which I built this demo account will certainly be helpful.

Chibuking81: China wants to cause a recession for the US so that Trump will not get elected. They are communist country, so they are used to suffering in the past. US wants to open a front through Taiwan and Hong Kong. They want to supply military hardwares to Taiwan. This is vexing China. As for oil, the outlook had been down since if you know what to check. People need to trade with caution with these news but that doesn't stop yield chasers from taking advantage of low valuations EMs. 1 Like |

INVESTING IN VOLATILE Times. My opinion for forum members. Good morning members, it has been a volatile period indeed, for global investors. Nigeria investors included. Dissenting views and opinions abound everywhere. The most popular being championed by NSEMPA analysts.. To avoid the market and allow the index to drop further To diversify into fix income instruments To stay invested by averaging down... Some analysts say you will average down endlessly. In my candid view, you are all right. volatile times A’quality’ time to build a solid portfolio at a bargain average price it would have costed in non volatile period. During volatile times, many investors get spooked and begin to question their investment strategies and portfolios. Some are even tempted to pull out of the market altogether and wait on the sidelines until it seems safe to dive back in. The thing is, volatility is inevitable. It’s the nature of the beast. It moves up and down over the short term. Trying to time or read the market perfectly or avoid most of the risk is impossible. Many have tried and failed. Part of the solution is to maintain a long-term horizon and ignore the short-term fluctuations. For most investors this is a solid strategy, but even long-term investors should know about volatile markets and the steps that can help them to better weather erratic market behaviour – especially now that market experts predict an increasingly bumpier ride in the near future. I am sure you have read that several international experts have warned about a global economic slowdown – the International Monetary Fund included – and there is even talk about a recession in the US. Trade tensions continue between the US and China; political risk is on the increase and debt levels remain elevated across global governments. These challenges and the uncertainty it brings has led to volatility in worldwide equity, commodity and currency markets and falling bond yields, and the rising threat of interest rate hikes. A high-quality approach is one of those investment strategies that seems smart, but only works well in certain occasions. It seems that occasion has arisen. Quality has no single, strict definition. But the common traits are sturdy businesses or industries not reliant on a strong economy; high and resilient profitability; and strong balance sheets unburdened by debt. There’s no way to know what the future holds for stocks or a particular segment, but becoming more cautious could be the best strategy of all after the run-up of the past decade. Markets are confusing and the investment universe is vast. It remains highly advisable to diversify and stay invested. HAPPY READING. WISHING YOU ALL A GREAT WEEKEND. 5 Likes |

Agbalowomeri: I came here to share Technical Analysis for stocks on the NSE as many people have the wrong impression that this cannot be done. This same @northeastern Was The first to label me a thief even without having any knowledge about me. I have given a few calls for stocks. Access is doing fine. UACN is beginning to show prospects while we all are awaiting GTBank to get to the VAP at 19.00 NGN i've been asked to refrain from making further trade recommendations until after or unless gtb reaches the said price. In the intermezzo, I simply catch fun and read up lamentations from those that have bought stocks and are waiting to see how much lower the stock can go. I see absolutely no reason why I can't post without being attacked by someone who most likely suffers some kind of bi-polar affective disorder. Na my own I dey o! |
