If the medical update +BVL happened same time, that's the new sign. Same happened to Ohis30 and Favoured2018......Waiting for the outcome. You will testify soon.

I wanna assume there is something strange about the month of JUNE when it comes to Canadian study permit application for Nigeria Applicants.. Last year, many June applicants waited 7 - 11 months before they eventually got a response/Decision from CIC. Now am seeing some JUNE 2019 applications in their 9 - 11 weeks... I just pray this year wait for the JUNE applicants wont be as terrible like that of last year, cos it wont be funny at all.. I know what am saying.. Wish u JUNE applicants speedy response... Peace

Actually, only few June applicants are left. IRCC seems to have responded to most guys. It's just sad that the responses were negative for the most part.

You are probably right though. There seems to be something wrong with applying in June/July for September resumption.

Hello All the Gurus in the house, I saw this somewhere and pls I want your response to it:

Don't Apply For Study Visa To Canada If Its Not Your Intention. Here's Why

Two years ago, two different people wanted to study in
Canada for their masters program

But between you and i...

They wanted to use that process to integrate
with the country and get permanent residence
once they are done.

Now here is what happened.

One got it...

The other one got denied.

Now the issue was not because the other
one was not qualified.

In short... The guy that got denied was much more
financially capable than the other guy running into
several tens of million in the bank account.

Now why is that

This is what happened.

The reason why the first guy that got his visa
granted two years ago was his age...

He's in his early 20s...

22 years of age with a First Class Degree

The second guy is a 34 Years old with a Second Upper
degree that has graduated over 10 years ago here in Nigeria

You see.

Its one thing for you to get admission to study in
any Canadian university.

Its another thing for you to get the visa from
the canadian government at the embassy

It may surprise you to know that The School and Embassy don't have anything tied together! In other words they both don't have any control over each other and they do their work separately.

Look, Canada knows that people are looking for alternative
ways to come live and work in their country and they
are saying this to everyone.

We want you to come to canada and live happy,
But you just have to go through the right
channel of how its done.

And one of the channel that the Canadians don't accept is if you
are saying you are coming to Canada to do your masters after
you have left school a long time ago and now above 30...

They will deny you.

Take it from me.

Chances of you getting this is simply 1 in 100.

The only people getting visa to study their master are those that
recently came out of school with clear distinctions and
want to simply further their education.

Now i know that those people applying for study permit are
doing so because they want to use that to also get residence

Here is my advice.

Go through other process of relocating to Canada legally.

They are not stopping anytime soon

Go through the process of either going through the
Federal Skill Program or the Provincial Nomination program. Work Permits and Visit Visas. Direct Employment Packages are also there.

It will work out.

All you have to do is to plan it.

Even if you have been told that you cant go
with your current criteria...

Look through other means even if it will cost you more money... If you are serious
Plan for it.

Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by raymege: 3:57pm On Aug 26, 2019
But we've seen people who are even 100 years old get Study permits here and outside.
So,the poster speaking from an absolute point of view has already gotten it wrong

Truth is, what could count as an advantage for a 100 years old to a VO could count as a disadvantage(and vice versa) for a 20years old, example a 20years old would most likely demonstrate less home ties than a 100 years old.

There is some element of truth to what he put up, but an application is all ab9ut profiling in its entirety(age or work experience or gap years etc aren't the only consideration), it's up-to you to counter the grey issues in your profile you think would be a concern for the VO and provide some clarity.

The age factor and gap years can always be countered.

It isn't illegal or a crime to want to study even if you are 100 years old.

A week is a week.
If you apply Today, it becomes 1 week next Monday.
It becomes 2weeks next 2 Mondays and so and and so forth.

Good day nairaland fam, please I need help from gurus here, just got a refusal and the 3 reasons where:
1. Insufficient funds to pay tuition for my the duration of my proposed program.
2. Insufficient funds to pay transportation cost to and from Canada for myself and any accompanying family member.
3. Insufficient funds to maintain myself without working in Canada.
I never knew this refusal can be so disheartening, gosh! embarassed lipsrsealed
Submitted online 17th July for MEng civil engineering, had a BEng in civil engineering with 2 years experience(self employed with CAC registration).
Tuition fee for entire program is 30k CAD (I already Paid 4k CAD tuition deposit)
Sponsor is elder brother with account balance covering entire tuition plus living expenses for a year. I did not include my personal account statement as at time of application due to a very low balance and inflow. Could it be just my account that is the problem?
PLEASE WHAT MAY BE WRONG WITH MY APPLICATION?
SOMEBODY HELP! I NEED UR URGENT AND EXPERIENCED SUGGESTIONS. Thanks
