I see. So who appoints or elects the legislators.... isn't it you and I who should be making solid, specific demands for good governance of them. No, we just collect stipends and vote hot air into power.

Whenever Nigerians are ready to understand what democracy means and how citizens of other nations use it as a tool to better their lives, then we will start to make progress.

The search for an Asari or a Sowore is a clear indicator of the ineptitude or ignorance of the citizenry who equates the voice of a single person to the collective power of an enlightened ballot. Even the Sowore was derided by the same citizens he was suppoed to fight for. How many spoke out against his detention thoughtless of act against their oppressors. They were either supporting the government or playing with the semantics of 'revolution'.

Now that this lady has been brutalised by agents of this government I hope she will be converted to the side of knowledge on citizen rights and fight the system that perpetuates crimes like these. For me I can safely say this:

If you sat in comfort and criticised the Sowore act, please you have no right than to suppport what the policeman has done because you are just as guilty of perpetiating the system that causes the trickle down effect of an aggressive, insensitive, overbearing government feeding on the plight of the people. You simply cannot be on both sides.
