While I agree with the statistics, I can also confidently tell you those statistics are not for high profile cases like this one. Most of the time, wrongful conviction is for cases like rape and murder where there is only one witness.

Also, that statistics is for local law enforcement, not FBI. In the last 20 years, no FBI investigated case in USA has been overturned, not one.

Ogbeni, this is over 12 million dollars, FBI is not EFCC that will arrest people for stealing 1 billion without an iota of proof.

FBI has done all the investigation, and re confirmed their investigations before they made a single arrest.

In Nigeria, it is the other way round. Over 60% of those arrested by SARS, DSS, EFCC are actually arrested without proper investigation and are actually innocent.

US statistics of innocent conviction is max 5%. But in Nigeria, the statistics of innocent arrest is at least 70%.
