so .i grew up watching wrestling with our black n white TV and I always laff when I remember the following chaps...leggo 1. Ivan kolo and his skin headed brothers. if those guys catch u for corner.. na there ur tenure go end 2. Hulk Hogan 3 Ultimate warrior 4. Yokozuna 5. Andrew the gaint 6. Undertaker and pall bearer 7. Mankind 8. Diesel 9. Jake the snake 10. Sting 11. Owen Hart 12. Scott Schnier (WCW I think) ...and urs if u remember. |

Back in 1988 when NTA in Lagos showed USA Championship wrestling these were stars to watch out for: Mighty Igor was often shown, The Von Eric Brothers, Michael Hays, Kabuki, Rick Flair, etc . Fast forward to 1991and we have the likes of Greg the Hammer Valentine, Roddy Piper, Tito Santana, Junkyard Dog, Tonga Kid, Jimmy Superfly Snuka.There was even a movie in which Zeus and Hulk Hogan fought. There was the clownish fetish wrestler named PAPA SHANGO who conjured "fire" around his opponent on defeating them,the likes of Ted Di biase(THE MILLION DOLLAR MAN) and his supposed bodyguard named VIRGIL, Jake" the snake " Roberts, Nikolai Volkoff, Iron Sheikh etc. 5 Likes |

i remeber almost all of them....Dt was when wrestling was serious n meant business n not now that some sets of professional stunts men have taken over wrestling making it looks like a joke for entertainment only.. Gave up on wrestling after seeing rey myaterio easily defeating 3 giant looking men...even my 12yr old kid bro angrily chnaged d channel saying "these guys think people watching the fight lacks reasoning" 1 Like |
