Hi mommies, I am 40W5D today, I had a membrane sweep/strip done yesterday by my doctor (used gloved fingers to massage my cervix with the hope of inducing labour- it was very painful).

Afterward I felt cramps in my lower abdomen and also noticed blood stained mucus like discharge. He said if I do not go into labour within 72hours of the sweep, then it didn't work.

Who has had this done before and how effective is it in inducing labour.

I’m currently 16wks and some days gone but still dealing with morning sickness. Anybody like me? Wonder when this will stop. I’m still using promethazine cos I can’t do without it!

Hey mama, do you know this seed (dabino), Hausa guys that hawk tiger nut in wheelbarrows sell it, you can get it, de-shell it to get to the seed, that seed is a life saver, I used to take both the dabino and the seed together until someone told me it aids contraction, don't know how true it is but I stopped taking it, I was only taking the seed, mind you it's very hard to crack. I keep chewing it until I crack it.
At bolded, I don't wanna burst your bubble, but just pray it stops by then OK. The joy of motherhood.

As for morning sickness, my dear, just take it one day at a time, before you know it your baby will be out and your u won't even remember the morning sicki. By the time you mingle with your teamies now, you won't even remember morning sicki again. You are not alone, that's the most important thing.

Also, I am using Pregnacare Max, 1 folic acid (the foreign one), 1 Bco tablet, 2VitC tablets, 1 ferrous tablet everyday. I hope its not too much as I get tired easily. Your response will be highly appreciated. Thanks.

I took pregncare max for 9months, no other drug, no hosiptal routine drugs
However like they would always say

I think it is a tad too much. You should take either just the PC Max or folic + another drug I’ve forgotten the name. Also excessive intake of vit C (especially supplements) could cause preterm labour, pregnant women are limited to 85mg daily. Maybe also talk to your doctor to guide you better? All the best mama

depending on the space btw your 1st and 2nd, your tummy may grow faster. You may not see anything on a scan till at least 8 weeks. Use your last period to count

For the drugs it's definitely three much, all you need at this point is Folic acid, or you use the Pregnacare

Adesquare2, a scan should be able to detect if you are pregnant by week 4 at least. Someone I know checked hers by week 3 but I checked when I was pregnant before by week 4.
