Hi mommies, I am 40W5D today, I had a membrane sweep/strip done yesterday by my doctor (used gloved fingers to massage my cervix with the hope of inducing labour- it was very painful).

Afterward I felt cramps in my lower abdomen and also noticed blood stained mucus like discharge. He said if I do not go into labour within 72hours of the sweep, then it didn't work.

Who has had this done before and how effective is it in inducing labour.

Have you considered a C-section?

What options did dr give you?

Membrane sweep works differently for everyone. Speak with your dr firmly and DO NOT leave anything to chance!

41 weeks pregnancy is sensitive as far as I’m aware

All the best and congrats for your miracle is on the way.

No mummy, CS would be my last option - I am not hoping for that. If this membrane sweep doesn't work, the next consideration would be inducing with medication (probably prostaglandins).

It may just be milk residue, does it wipe off? see a doctor, no need to panic

Hello madam, kindly visit the hospital because of his age. The yellow poo is normal but the greenish part is what I'm worried about. **My opinion though*†*

Hello mamas,

My bobo is 1 WK shy of 4 months. A happy bubbling young man. He eats very well especially his pap. This boy loves the pap more than bobby sef. We started pap with formula at 2months 2 wks. My questions;

What other food can I introduce to him from 4 months?

What about fruits can his stomach can tolerate at 4 months?

We started using Huggies diapers ( it's actually a gift) after the 2nd day I noticed rashes on his privates, please has anyone experienced such before or just a coincidence?

For your question, i think you should stick with pap till he is 5months or 6. my thought though.

My dear the pap is a life saver. You need to see how he is enjoying it . I prepared 1 paint bucket of corn, and he finished it in a month. I just made another one today.

Try the pap. It holds them more than breast and formula.
Just dilute the formula with small water then add your pap . let it not be too thick.

Do you have experience with Huggies ?

It will heal.Experienced it with My first.Let her use Olive oil Or Coconut oil on the breast.
Latching is important also. She should make sure her baby's mouth covers almost the dark area round the nipples always.IT is Latching only on the nipples that brings crack round it.

I will try the pap. Please can you tell me how you prepared yours? I think i will prefer doing it myself too instead of buying from market.
About the diaper, i have not used huggies before. I only used molfix and then switched to Finrosy since fake molfix filled market. I guess you continue with the Huggies, and apply barrier cream (i use blueseal vaseline). Watch out if d rashes are increasing. if yes, discontinue it, but if not, continue and finish it since you said its a gift. i guess its just a pack.

Buy one paint bucket ( custard bucket) of yellow corn or mixture of yellow corn+ millet + Guinea corn.
Select out the stone and shafts.
Wash and soak them in a bucket of water, let the water cover them.
Wash and change the water daily for 3 days.
Take it to grinding machine operators to grind it well for you.
You need a big sieve ( the type like scarf)
Tie the sieve on a bucket or bowl. Then start sieving it.
When you are done, allow to settle for some time. Then slowly separate the water from your pap.
Then turn the pap inside pap bag to let the water drain out.
That's how I made my pap. It might look tasking but it's not.

Please introduce formula if you exclusive isn't working for you

Exclusively fed babies should first be given formula before any other foods, and solids at 6 months

If you are not doing exclusive please in the name of God, do not give your baby any other food before 4 months. And at 4 months sef just pap and minimal quantities

The bolded is very very risky, please don't do it again for subsequent children. Introduction of solids before baby's digestive system develops well can lead to digestive problems in the future.

If your child reacts to a diaper change it. If it is the nigerian huggies, I am not suprised, that diaper is useless

Alright ma. Thank you. I will hold on longer before introducing pap for his siblings.

I just checked the diaper and it's Nigerian Huggies.

I will watch him more as I used baby tribotan and the rash disappeared after the second day

Good point. I was making ones too for a while, but that's so exhausting and I decided to switch back to those from the supermarket. I'm not using notorious Nigerian Huggies, I prefer looking for real ones.
I like them, no problems with it except that I can't find the proper diaper bag. Can you suggest me choosing one of these? It should be lightweight and has many pockets.

My baby is 9months. I usually puree chicken for her but she doesn't like it that well.

What else can I mix with it to make it more palatable to her.

At what age should i stop pureed food, or start giving her food with rougher consistency.

Whats are other mothers feeding their 9 months old. mine takes pap, apple puree, pear, oats, banana, pap, pap and more pap
