Pretty much all the core East African countries did good with Ethiopia leading exceptionally, interestingly enough Rwanda has the lowest risks but not so much the reward relative to other east African countries, still impressive for their market size though. If the fourth index will be released for either 2019 or 2020 Tanzania sadly wont fair as good as it did in 2018, unless something happens to make all the growing risks worthwhile. Nigeria's case though whats not happening if your rewards were any lower you'd duke it out with Zimbabwe for the bottom spot but seriously ranking that close to D.R.C with regards to risks is truly pathetic.

Needless to say East Africa is steadily taking up the mantle as the driver for Africa's development by setting the standards high which hopefully, with no upsetting surprises throughout the upcoming years to 2025-2035, will translate for the emerging markets, Kenya & Ethiopia, witnessing unprecedented growth that will surely be the wake up call to all of Africa leading the bunch to prosperity.

Yes our road infrastructure could do with improvement. But it's like our power situation a few years ago. We began from a very low base...about only 12% of kenya had electricity in 2002....by 2006 I think we had around 15%...then we kept doubling...and doubling...now we are looking at UNIVERSAL electricity access.

Kenya has good road network. The problem is % of paved roads. Otherwise rural roads are well maintained if not mostly murram.

We had about 15% of road network paved...compared to say Singapore with 95%. The last five years - we have built about 10,000kms from a low base of 12,000kms...so in 5yrs we probably doubled our paved network. We intend to complete 30,000kms of paved roads in the medium term.....

So yes while you're stuck and getting worse & worse....we will move our paved road network from 15% to 30% to 60% - before this thread ends.

We are spending a lot on social nets.

NDMA kenya(https://www.ndma.go.ke/) determine how many poor people require food - HSNP (Hunger Safety Net) immediately send them money to buy food - and kenya gov has already budgeted for that - we spend nearly 400M dollars annually on social safety net.

And EVERY elderly,orphaned and disabled kenya is entitled to monthly remittance from Gov of Kenya.

Aren't you supposed to be ashamed of this? Since 2013/2014 report still has it that your paved roads are less than 10,000km since independence. This is just another lie from your govt because you anually add 600km of paved roads and at that rate it might take you 2080 to hit 30% paved roads despite all that chinese debt waiting to be paid or converted to neocolonialism without roads I wonder what you'be been bragging about since... i am not here to dealwith your govt failed empty promises but facts from international source. infact I cant imagine living in kenya, how will I cope with the roads . Before I started following this thread, I didn't know there's people from some countries like Nigeria that are shocked to realize that there's some countries in Africa like Kenya that has 24/7 electricity without blackouts....
Seeing how Nigerians are arguing tells allot about their electricity problems, ...wow I didn't know it's such a big deal, some things that we're talking so lightly could be a milestone in some countries like Nigeria...
