Icon4s: Lol. And who did they win exactly? They won SA 2-1 and the Semi-final on penalties. The others ended in draws. I will prefer to comment on the team performance in a tournament than celebrating 2 wins ( one was via a penalty shootout) and 2 draws I am still trying to understand how they got to the final to be candid. Infact, I wasn't surprised when someone mistakenly said they were walloped 4-1by Morocco. That's the kind of results you expect when Aigbogun leads a team 1 Like |

edi287: Even Foden is bang average, Nothing special. The only reason Man city still keeps him, is to fill the British quota in the squad. If he leaves the shadows of City, we will rate him by then |

Earthquake1: Trust me he's average. if he's that good, he would have gotten an invite into the national team, because England needs midfielders. He's not even half as good as James Maddison of Leicester. Even Mason mount got an invite ahead of him. these two guys have distinguished themselves as exceptional midfielders. But Mr Foden is not proven. We don't know what he can do, because he's hiding under world class midfielders. Nobody will rate him for now, not even the England coach 1 Like |

timay: If Foden was average, Guardiola would not keep him. The young man is an ideal Guardiola player. When Guardiola first arrived, Foden was one of the first players, Txiki, the tech director of Manchester City, introduced to Guardiola. Note Txiki is also a Barcelona man. What is going on with Foden is a long term moulding into a Guardiola player on tactical insights. He is a long term under study of David Silva and he will get his nod soon. Just as Guardiola demonstrated in one of the Tottenham games. City execs noted the kid, endorsed by Guardiola and he went on to become the best player at the U17 World Cup. Not a coincidence. In that team of England, Foden stood out when another bright gem identified by City, Jaydon Sancho was in the same team. |
