As expected by who? You?
I am sure you also never expected them to get to the final.

I never saw your comments on your expectations when they were winning.

Relax, Dat was a crappy team under the aegis of a crappy coach. Little to nothing was expected of them

It means u only started following football in the recent years.

I wonder what was going through your mind when he was winning through the group stage and semis. You were probably disappointed.

Off-Topic:

From being down by 10 and at a point being pummeled by the Russian Long shots strategy, D'Tigers were able to claw their way back and it stands at 40-35 in favor of Russia for HT (End of Q2).

Hope the Naija Bball lads can stay on Russia's tail, overtake and win this.

How would they send him on loan when Mancity doesn't have too many home grown. He's just filling the quota. if Silva retires this morning, Man city will buy to replace him.
the guy doesn't even know what is going on.

Someone is filling quota and he thinks Man City with bastard money has time to be playing untested kids. E no go pass Carabao Cup and last minute sub's wey Foden go get

If Foden was average, Guardiola would not keep him. The young man is an ideal Guardiola player. When Guardiola first arrived, Foden was one of the first players, Txiki, the tech director of Manchester City, introduced to Guardiola. Note Txiki is also a Barcelona man.

What is going on with Foden is a long term moulding into a Guardiola player on tactical insights. He is a long term under study of David Silva and he will get his nod soon. Just as Guardiola demonstrated in one of the Tottenham games.

City execs noted the kid, endorsed by Guardiola and he went on to become the best player at the U17 World Cup. Not a coincidence. In that team of England, Foden stood out when another bright gem identified by City, Jaydon Sancho was in the same team.

Long term understudy of David Silva indeed grin ..as if we don't know Guardiola and Man city grin ..once Silva retire, na to buy replacement sharp sharp.... That was how Guardiola went to sign Gabriel Jesus when Iheanacho could have been used...

“In the second half, we created much, much more than our opponents but we didn't create the kind of chances for this kind of player.

“But of course, Kelechi is part of the squad.".. Guardiola on Kelechi.

Guardiola clearly pointed that Iheanacho was not his kind of player and the chances we created was not perfect for Nacho. So buying Gabriel Jesus was Guardiola securing his kind of player.

However, I wanted Nacho to stay briefly and gain from the tutelage of Guardiola. I believe understanding the system makes the players better.
