Does Innoson build from the scratch?. From what I know, only the frame is moulded locally, other components are imported and incorporated. Basic iron-smithing if you ask me.

yeah exactly I meant like 60 percent of the vehicle is Nigerian made......Parts of the engine,Body frame though they copy Chinese design....,chassis....then other electronics,seats e.t.c are imported

There is nothing to get emotional about. Innoson does not manufacture anything from the scratch. Most of what they do is coupling. Infact,their tricycle line is more advanced in terms of indigenous technical input than their automobile line.

I have been to their plant in Nnewi north, so it's not just hearsay.

These days, I hear they now mould vehicle frame too,so at least that is an improvement(though I reckon any decent panel beater can do the job). But nothing like "from the scratch".

Manufacture 60% of car parts how?,where?. Which one does Innoson manufacture, is it the gearboxes or sensors or dashboard or compressors or suspension components or engine or windscreen?.

Like I said, I have been to the plant in Nnewi, and they don't manufacture 60% of anything, they outsource most of the components to foreign suppliers. All they do is assemble, paint and polish.

Sorry to hurt your feelings but Innoson is just an assembly plant.

They are not responsible for the design, casting and many more vital processes that are involved in vehicle manufacturing. This is what many people have pointed out only to be labeled 'haters'.

What has plastic got to do in your reply? I'm beginning to wonder if innoson vehicles are made of 60% plastic.
