Sad though but I see no issue here, everyone wants to score. If Salah worked for the ball and he adjudged himself to be well suited to score why not? What if he didn't see Mane to be well placed? If Mane had the ball and passed on to Salah expecting a return pass for him to score and Salah decided to spurn that arrangement and make go, then I see an issue. Each is working to better their brand but left to the coach to decide his strategy.

Mane is very unselfish compared to Salah. Its a fact if you watch both regularly. It almost feels like Salah wants to be the star man many-a-times.

The assists count will not change that. Liverpool tactics makes it possible for Salah to be in good positions to get opportunities moreso that Bobby and Mane and so he would normally get more assists. He starts from the right and drifts to the center but he takes up positions higher on the pitch than Mane and Bobby almost like he is thr striker.
