I guess the guy is also a domain flipper or the former owner of the domain.
I told him my price (995). He countered with $50 and that I should make my gain from it since I bought the domain name for $12.
I told him his offer is wayless than what I can consider. He then sent me a misspelt variation of the name which he will register if I do not accept the offer.
I told him to go ahead to register the misspelt variation. He then asked me to give him discount on the name.
Gave him a 50% discount by slashing the price from 995 to $500.
He countered it an offer of $75 and that he is giving me 24 hours to accept the offer.
I just replied him and told him am not in a hurry to sell tge name. I also gave him 48 hours to pay the $500 after which I will increase it to the initial price.
All through our chats, he was just mentioning that I registered the domain for $12 and I shouldn't be looking for too much gain

My little advice to you!

Go into this business with the mindset that you will sell,

Just learn the strategies first and treat it as a side hustle with the hope it pays off sooner than you expect.

Just invest on the right names especially geo-domains with the money you can spare at the moment and be hopeful, initial success will motivate you to commit more to it.

Flipping of domains is more profitable as my little experience has taught me, focus more on that.

Thats all i can tell you, maybe someone with contrary experience as regards parking of domains will shed more light on that.

The Lazy domainer in the building ........ma first regged domains be expiring..... one year birthday in domaining

So last month made it one year since i stumbled upon this beautiful thread and decided to join the train....cool I must say it has sure been worth it, domaining lazily, registering craps at the beginning, learning along the way from the masters..........will like to say a big gracias to the bosses here for their inputs, especially boss iyke for starting this thread, though i'm the laziest serious domainer i know, no even get strength to follow namepros sef ..........still been able to make really decent bucks looking back still learning tho......if you're about to go in, yea it's worth it if you know what you're doing. Sold over 20+.... portfolio 100+

that parking stuff sha....parked some domains with bodis for like 4 months now, checked recently and saw $22, and its got me thinking recently, working on stuff.....but basically, focus on selling and on geos for quick flips, brandables for patience (big bucks)
