But Umahi is from the same Pdp na.

I have an observation. If majority of the people in the SE support you, you must be doing something wrong but if they hate, insult and curse you, you're doing something right.

The SE loves Ikpeazu, Ugwuanyi, Ihedioha and people like TA Orji and his son Chinedu AKA Ikuku.

On the other hand, they curiously hate Obiano, Umahi in particular and Okorocha the most. Meanwhile, those 3 are the best out of the mediocre Governors in the SE.
You're an idiot and a horribly wicked liar

Otti go and sit down.

You sound bitter, Ogah has moved on and is attracting things to Abia. That shows love of state and sportsmanship.

You were part of the looting of Abia money with T.A. Orji and you're here pontificating.

Y'all threw Abia into this mess.

Y'all are the same!

It is only the poor, the weak and the ignorant that I sympathize for and not the youths and the traders that rejected core professionalism and competence and voted for crudity and incompetence.

They should reap what they sowed. Nigerians should know that elections has consequences.

They will never choose wisely, but will rather allow some mundane things like religion, tribe and sentiments to be cloud their sense of reasoning.

We always vote for incompetent people and expect the country to progress.

The incompetence of one man has nothing to do with the party. Ebony State governor David Umahi is PDP. There’re some Apc states especially in the north that are worse than Abia.
Ebonyi State Governor now is a definition of HUNGER in the state at the moment. It is telling on the masses.

Ikpeazukerosene:
You know the funny thing, Abians are the loudest critics of the Governors of other states but in Abia, if you're not a complete idiot, Abians won't vote you.

Let me give you an example here on Nairaland.
There's a Nairalander called Amaniro. He's from Abia and when poverty wanted to slim-fit his destiny, he ran to hustle in Abuja.

When Okowa of Delta state commissioned primary schools, this Amaniro of a boy said a Governor shouldn't be commissioning a primary school. When Akeredolu commissioned some secondary schools in Akure, this same boy who hunger chased away from Abia started criticising Ondo State that the colour of the school is not attractive enough. This is the same person that Ikpeazu is using kerosene to pay the pension of his father in Abia.

Abians are slaves to Ikpeazu because they don't realise they're in slavery.

Otti was part of the people who sold Abia into slavery with Ochendo. He was the conduit pipe and only became angry when he lost the party ticket.

All na same same

Completely true. Abia is being held hostage by a group of political jobbers not fit for governance. The state is in a mess. Nothing is working.

I cannot understand why they continue with the PDP when it is clear the party is interlinked from past to present, every governor selected and appointed by his predecessor.

This is why I consistently advocate for restructuring to uncouple states like these from central government so that failures can become complete failures and successes can become attractive. So that people can realise what is right.

Re: Ikpeazu-led Government Has Weaponized Hunger In Abia – Alex Otti Attack Ikpeazu by Livefreeordieha(m): 7:08am On Sep 02, 2019
Amarachi1990:
Alex Otti, the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance, APGA, in the last 2019 general elections in Abia state, has declared that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu-led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, administration has weaponized hunger and poverty against the people of the State.

Otti who made the declaration in a press statement issued to reporters in Aba on Sunday evening, by his Media Assistant, Ferdinand Ekeoma, decried the insincerity of Ikpeazu-led government towards the welfare of Abia civil servants and pensioners.

He again, claimed that despite tranches of bailout funds and Paris Refund Club accrued to Abia by the federal government for the payment of Salary arrears owed to State workforce, as well as execution of infrastructural projects, the governor had decided to impoverished the citizenry.

Parts of the statement read, “I’m pained that workers in many state government owned institutions are being owed up to 15 months salary arrears while pensioners are being owed 32 months pension arrears. This leadership atrocity defeats every pretence of sincerity and seriousness on the side of the Okezie Ikpeazu led government. No unmotivated workforce can give a healthy output.

“To add insult to injury, the government, in an unpatriotic bid to abandon it’s responsibility, has brought a destructive dichotomy that is alien to our civil service by introducing what it calls “Core and Non Core Civil Servants. That after receiving over 30 Billion naira in Bailout fund and Paris Club refunds, not to mention the hundreds of billions that have accrued to the state as federal allocations and internally generated revenues, and yet the governor just set up a committee to look into these unpaid arrears, shows that the Ikpeazu led government does not care about the welfare of our suffering people, let alone the general development of the state.

“On August 29, I was present at the governorship tribunal to witness the adoption of final written addresses in the suit my party and I filed against the declaration of Ikpeazu as governor by INEC, unfortunately, it turned out to be a ground for display of primitive hooliganism by women and youths hired by the government to come and constitute nuisance in court.

“At the premises of the court, the hoodlums who were dressed in Ikpeazu’s campaign attires were seen and loudly heard insulting me with their derogatory songs, but they were overwhelmed by progressive Abians who freely trooped out to the court to support our sincere search for leadership direction through civilized means.

“Ironically, while the hired sychophants were doing the demeaning hatchet job at the court premises, hundreds of pensioners had barricaded the gate of Government House Umuahia protesting against the non-payment of their 32 months pension arrears. So who is deceiving who?

“However, we do not begrudge those few misguided Abians, because in a state where hunger has been weaponized, and many lacking three square meals a day, it takes rare courage, discipline and grace of God to refuse to prostrate under the slave master’s table, therefore let’s support, encourage, inspire and educate such brethren to realise that with the present scenario, their future and those of their children are doomed”.

Recall that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu had during his Statewide broadcast to mark the 28th Anniversary of the creation of Abia state held in August 27th, assured the people of the State that his administration will complete every ongoing infrastructural projects before the expiration of his second term.

I agree but in a political system the party is the platform on which these folks operate. The party puts them up for election so it bears responsibility.

If you know Abia politcs well you will know Ikpeazu is tied to the laces of TA Orji. The last time I checked they are not relations not even from the same constituency. They are bonded in strange secrecy and misgovernance by party affiliation so the party has to be accountable.

It is also clear that to break the viscious cycle of misgovernace the support structure of that chain has to be removed and this is the removal of the party from power. The choices are stark. Anyone elected under the PDP will not be able to operate outside the influences of the preceding leaders.

Uzor Kalu started the train but since he decamped to the rival APC he has been criticised and his sins uncovered yet the sins of his erstwhile son TA who was far worse are being covered up and his failures protected.

Democracy works well when visvious cycles are repeatedly broken and I will continuosly say this. The fear of power loss is the only way democracy works for good governance. If a people, citizens, make the tragic error of assuring power to any set of leaders their future is a guaranteed, total loss. Positive performance in any sphere of endeavour is indirectly proportional to time. Even the world God cteates is decaying thoughtless of intents of mischievious men.

Abians should let the PDP go if they are to smell development. I have nothing against the PDP or personally against the amiable governor Victor Ikpeazu but his hands are tied by the nature of the beast.

Lagos and Tinubu are exactly in the same position. As long as he holds sway Lagos can simply not improve beyond this point. It maybe the one eyed man amongst the blind, the London of Nigeria but it still remains third world by all international indices and standards and can do better if democracy is allowed to work.

Can you honestly say governance has improved in Lagos since May 1999.... or even May 2019.... Be honest. Now can you imagine the expectation and impetus a new government will have had in Lagos....

How can they let PDP go if there votes doesn't count. The incumbent always manipulate the election outcome to his favour. If INEC will allow the people's votes to count then the electorates will now have there way in choosing rightly.

Point of correction; there has been hunger in Ebonyi even before Umahi came on board. That he's requesting the populace to pay tax, which is civil, didn't indirectly induce hunger in the state. Stop being overly critical like he's denying the people there meals.

Whosoever that says Igbo hates Umahi, is simply a simpleton or an ipobian. There is no two ways about it. Or such a person is an oaf, that has bought the usual lies of some disgruntled elements that he's in cahoot with Buhari to do away some portions of the land for whatever nonsensical project, that igbos see as inimical to their corporate existence.
