Nigerians are not patient. The embassy has stated that the processing time for student visa is 4-6 weeks, if you haven't recieved AM or rejection by then, then you can mail the embassy. Mailing the embassy below 6 weeks, in my opinion, is not necessary. People need to chill and be patient.

with the subject line: status of student visa. This
approach will give you instantaneous reply. You must
send the following information in the mail including
surname, firstname, Passport number, Date of birth,
Date of visa interview, Place of interview.
