Are they supposed to allow them to be killed. What will then make Nigerian better than the mobs in South Africa

Nobody is fighting the police, they should give way for reprisals attacks on South African owned businesses since our govt don't want to give a stiff order that will sit S. A govt up.

Let's be rational here.

Police, kidnappers, ritualists, fake medicine, bad hospitals, and truck drivers waste the lives of innocent Nigerians everyday. What's all the noise now that South Africans are wasting lives? Is it because of a few lives lost in SA we will now protest? What of the hundreds of lives lost every day in Nigeria, caused by Nigerians and our government? Why don't we protest that?

Please don't say: "what if it was your relative killed in SA?" I have lost relatives in Nigeria to the aforementioned, and nobody protested for them, or people like them.

The protests/killings started because a (SA?) taxi driver was shot dead by a (NG?) drug dealer. Now everybody and their uncle is "reacting", losing perspective, and swearing up and down, yet doing nothing to back it up or cause for real change. The person who last called for a revolution protest march is cooling his heels in DSS custody, all but forgotten. As usual, I give these reactions 3 more days before we're on to the next distraction. Mtchew!

Nigerians are yet to learn a lesson. South Africans don't go after big Nigerian businesses on their land. As a matter of fact, there are no big Nigerian corporations in SA. They go after petty businesses or what we may call MSMEs. In the face of massive lootings and destructions on these petty trades, Nigerians in SA suffer 100% loss.

Here in Nigeria, South Africans own bigger corporations, however, note that on many of these corporations (including DSTV, Shoprite, MTN, etc), Nigerians have big shares. When Nigerians f00lishly go about looting goods at Shoprite, Nigerians will share at least 75% of the losses in the form of job loss, and poor performing shares and investments. Many middle class Nigerians own shares @ MTN, so technically, na una go still suffer las las.

Illiteracy is the only reason any Nigerian will go about burning or destroying properties of South African companies in Nigeria. Nigeria has almost zero advantage, even Buhari won't dare unless he wants to triple the current level of unemployment and poverty.

You guys should chill and put all your energy on the government. Yes, you helped SA in the days of Aparthy, South Africa also gave you people GSM after Obasanjo went to SA to beg on his knees. Nigeria is a backward country with nothing to fight SA. Diplomacy is the only way out of the situation and your current president has no iota of idea what to do with diplomacy. Since python dance can't work in a foreign land, dude is pathetically helpless.

you are a liar; it's because important nigerians have stakes in those companies.if the nigerians in south africa too were wealthy people, the south african police would have defended them.

Yes. Why are we protesting a small number of lives lost in SA, when we accept large numbers of lives lost in NG everyday? Even the fact that we have drug dealers at the root of these protest. But anyways, 2-3 days from now, people will tire of reacting and go back to usual sedated selves.

In fact, this post says it all for me:

Sad but true. We are protesting against SA when the real enemy of the Nigerian people is in Aso Rock.

Two wrongs cannot make a right, we need to be cautious as there are more Nigerians staying in SA. They will simply retaliate and kill more Nigerians while we have only their businesses to destroy.

We have many south Africans here too. At least, I know of 10 that I see almost every time. Let them feel the pain too.

No, the staff of shoprite Nigerians are Nigerians.

Shoprite Nigeria is 51% owned by Nigerians

Looting the shops means Nigerian Insurance companies pay damages.

The Nigerian police is protecting Nigerians

It doesn't make sense to loot our fellow Nigerians; in the same way it doesn't make sense to loot our brothers from South Africa.

But I'm not advocating looting; instead we should be protesting loudly in Abuja against police n army killing.
