U should've allowed the Oga(Lincoln) to deny it himself, so I can present enough proof.

Anyway, that won't be necessary, as I am not interested in proving anything.
I don't need to be swayed from keeping my feet to the ground in humility because someone has refused to show a sense of appreciation.
I only wanted to make a point, which I am sure he(and others that indulge in needless destructive criticism) understand.

I don't feel any need to hold anything against anyone. ...I am Ok with everything !!

A CHOICE BETWEEN UPDC and UACN... part 2

In my view, the move to unbundle or possibly divest from some of its loss-making and not-so-profitable business segments is coming a bit late. ...though better late than never.

Just a few weeks ago, the group(UACN) gave up its majority stake position(51% before then) in their logistic business arm(MDS logistic) to the core investor(imperial logistics). ...taking their total stake to 57% and reducing that of UACN to 43%(an 8% swap).
That arm has witnessed a difficult path to cost optimization(higher CoS) and dwindling revenue, despite the groups effort at curbing down OPEX. Worse still, is that vol has been on the downward trend for some quarters now.
I think it will be best for UACN to consider given up more stake in that arm(logistic) of business to aid leverage.
I also think the quick service restaurant arm of business should be divested from in totality. ...think UACN holds more than a 50% stake therein.

However, the move to give up of its entire stake in UPDC(64.2% as at H1, 2019) is the most STRATEGIC move to growth if u ask me.
The increased revenue witnessed in Q2, 2019 by UPDC is not sustainable. ...especially when u consider the fact that any drive in sales has always been bitten down by high interest payments.

Good a thing, the group(UACN) is gradually recovering its mkt share in the Agric feeds business segment(H1, 2019 in view). ...while the packaged foods(UAC foods) and paint business segments are doing great.

At the current mkt price, I have no doubt in my mind that UACN holds in it, a lot of prospect. ...a lot of inherent VALUE !!

Well appreciated bro !

I guess my several advise to u the many times u repeatedly besieged my mail box for recommendations in the past has also put u in trouble.
It's funny how some of u will benefit from the selfless and free input of others, yet decide to wallow as ingrates.

Anyway u can continue. ...It wasn't like I was expecting even a thank u or any appreciation in return.
It's especially because of folks like u that I wrote and highlighted the part of the post above.

So I have no intention to judge u. ...only God shall do so with all of us, at his own appointed time !!

Thank u for the criticism.

The pricing methodology(movement) of quoted coys are hinged on their market value relative to volume.
In the NSE, price bands(OHL) is dependent on the category of stock involved.

By convention;
• For stocks in categories A (coys that are trading at >/= 0.20k but </= N5), u need a single block volume trade of at least 100,000 unit to capture the intraday high or low on the trade book.
• For stocks in categories B (coys that are trading at >/= N5 but </= N100), u need a minimum volume of 50,000 units.
and...
• For stocks in categories C (coys that are trading at >/= N100 and above), u need a minimum volume of 10,000 units.

It's important to note that these rules are continuously been reviewed and where necessary, amended in line with market dynamics and standards, as set out by the regulatory bodies.(NSE, SEC etc)
I think i've once put out a similar post on this in the past.

Hope its clearer now?

No problem dear. ...I forgive u !!
But pls next time, kindly read(and read again) what u type... then scrutinize it to see if it aligns with good conscience and virtue before u post it here.(not just to me) ...I recall u once advised me with a similar line in the past.
It's also important to lead and maintain an open-minded personality, free from any form of pretence.

Dangote sugar is heading to #6 junction soon. In this September most good and bad stocks will drop downward from their current price, final year result and dividend news expectation is still far.
Half year news and it interim dividend news has come and gone, and set a ground for investors onwards picking decision.

The stock market moves in circles if there are ideals. Your forecasts for September are taking into accounts the result-reporting cycles of companies but ignoring many other things. In NSE, currently, such factors as these have their roles to play in determining market-direction:

1. depressed prices resulting in enticing valuations,
2. Struggling economy coupled with unpalatable oil prices,
3. Global economic uncertainties due to erratic trade wars with unpredictable direction,
Etc.

There are many things that affect the market on a large-scale or small scale. So, every analyst tries to factor in as many as possible in other to make their decisions.
