Ok.. Thanks for the correction, since u personally had the experience.. I also said that based on the experience of peeps like you on this thread.. In ma over 3 years on this thread, I havnt come across an applicant that got his or her study permit approved while the EE application was still on, instead their study permit application has been refused.. So it good to know that yours was an exception... Congrats.. Peace

Hi @makano,

You have been wonderful on this thread. I've been reading your responses to queries for some time now and they have been very insightful. However, your response on this enquiry is not totally correct.

Speaking from experience, I applied for my study permit when my EE profile was active and my permit was granted. In addition, my hubby also got his work permit approved at the same time.

I understand that Canada operate a Dual Intent Policy that allows you to apply for a study permit or tourist visa while you have an active EE profile. The policy allows them to take decisions independently.

My view though, gurus in the house can correct me if I'm wrong.

No hard feelings bro, cheers!
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by makano: 9:38pm On Sep 05, 2019
On point...
Drpak:
You two are both right.

I have seen cases where a study permits were approved with an active EE profile. And I also have a friend that was initially refused because of his EE profile. Yes, Canada allows dual intent, but you guys need to understand that when it comes to canada immigration, no two cases are the same.

I changed career because I studied Zoology in my undergraduate and now I'm going for MSc Boreal Ecosystems and Agricultural Sciences but I explained what spurred my passion for it and courses I took relevant to the area. I'm not employed as I'm currently still doing my NYSC and didnt submit any nysc stuff.

In term of family ties, I do not have any ties as all my siblings are in the USA and Canada as I'm just the only one left here, they are already citizens of those countries and I listed all of them in the family information without hiding anything. I only used my mom who wasn't even in Nigeria as ties and I said I ll be coming back home for my marriage and I talked about employment prospects as the ties too.

The most important thing is prayer and fasting and it was my mom that did all that. I give *God all the glory*. *He is a faithful God*. All thanks to my *father's in the Lord* who saw this vision coming through for me, Qudkom, Frankrobb, Justmellow,Blema111, sterlingwaterloo and to many others I can't mention.

*I'm wishing the rest still waiting for decision a favourable outcome IJN especially my sister from another mother Mzjokky16. I love you so much you're the best*

Pls, e dakun! I am on the verge of submitting my application (online!). Now the Study Permit Questionnaire is confusing me. Do I need to fill it too? Like print it out, then fill with pen and then scan and upload? I have been to the Application center in abuja, they were not willing to entertain my questions as I'm applying online.
Also, I have the Family information form IMM5645 on my online page but there is still the IMM5707 for applicants from Nigeria. Which one should one upload?
Pls my Police clearance certificate expires on Monday, so quick replies will be appreciated. Thanks fam.

Their government is able to provide means for students to take loans and pay back later (they dont even have to study hard and pass any exam for some ptdf scholarship). Nigeria is unable to provide that to young people for SDS to be concluded hence the fake bank statements some applicants prepare.

Hello Jiggsbaby,

Vfs will not request you to pay 15k for booking an appointment for biometrics. In Abuja vfs, its a walk in to submit and do your biometrics at the same time. All you need to do is go early. That number you called is a scam.

All the best!

Hello Sakasakas,

If you applying online, you don't need to upload any Questionnaire form. The questions you were met to tick (answer) at the beginning of starting your online application before you created an account is the questionnaire designed for online application.

The column for online IMM form has already been created, just upload the right form as instructed, and hence, you should go with the IMM 5645 form. For the IMM 1294e, you can download the form, fill and upload to the specified column. However, scanning it won't work.

Good luck!

Good day all, have read through several post on the thread, good job guys. My question
1. I do not have 2.1 as most university require 2.1 for msc
Please recommend to me a school I can apply to, to study an agric related MSC course and do not demand 2.1

2. What's is the possibility of my family joining me, within few months

Thank you as I expect a good Samaritan to reply asap

I think the intent to come back is more important than the pay. Especially if you can also prove how you can rise in ranks in the company on your return.

I may be wrong, wait for the real gurus
