hey guys! Please I really need help with this.I have been having problems solving some questions particularly on Equilibrium of forces,normally I know we are to resolve into the vertical and horizontal components using fy= sin@ and fx = cos @ . but i came acroos some questions particularly in the lamlad textbook(page 29 and question 1,2,and3) they resolved the vertical into fy= cos@ and horizontal into fx= sin@ ...i have been truing to understand the reason this was done but i just dont get it... please i need someone to enlighten me with a thorough explanation. |

How I wish I could just help ! This sin was the reason i failed mathematics in WAEC and same sin is preventing me to make it to Heaven  SIN, COS & TAN Mathematics cant be for everyone and may be not for you too  |

As far i am concern,u can choose any coordinate as either positive or negative with directional sense |
