The only stock here I still am trying to comprehend is Aiico. The other two are still battling with the law of gravity. Once I observe the loss of interest in both stocks, I will top up. Same for wema... @50k, I will also key in and just wait for my 80% non negotiable.

I will appreciate a word on Afriprud, eterna and cutix.

Thanks.

Sorry, all 3 coys(in bold) are currently not under my coverage for now. ...and that's because I believe there are far better choices to permute from out there.(I already mentioned a good No of them here in the past)

That said, I have the 1st 2 on my watch list !!

On a side note, it looks like the 2nd is gradually approaching a good value zone. ...but then again, there are better choices out there.

One question we should always ask before buying any stock is,"if i were being paid my retirement benefit today, would i /can i ,put all in this stock at the current price"

This is one strong checklist for me,and once i have the slightest doubt about this, infact Usain Bolt no fit catch me as i go run

All i know is that all stocks have their time(turnaround),can happen at anytime,so we must always keep an open mind in order not to miss opportunities.

That is a strong question I will be asking myself before I buy any stock now. FBN of today no dey that category. The bank is where some people collect there national cake at the expense of shareholders. Retirement money can not be invested on hope.

Meanwhile, UACN faithfuls/hopefuls, its full offer now at N4.95.
Will it continue its downward trajectory?
Has it arrived value zone?
Any more values to come?

This was on 14th August, just 3 weeks ago (almost 25% profit already).
I remember Agba responding then that N4 would be a good value.
This stock is now a permanent stay in my portfolio as a future N1/share dividend cash cow.

The past few years have brought with them a trend of huge wealth transfer in at least one or more listed companies in NSE.
Few years back, it was from DF-Tigerbrands-DF...many NSEMPA members here benefited immensely from this cycle (I benefited from the full cycle from buying at around N0.98).
Last year one of such wealth transfers happened with Diamond-Access. I wasn't a beneficiary but was glad for those who risked it and got their reward.
I see many more to come from time to time.
With constructive engagement on this platform, there is real money to be made from them by all who care key-in.
Sharing information, asking relevant questions, and making useful analytical contributions and of course some rich spread of humour will certainly land us great deals.
Lets open up and be intentional about doing for ourselves what the politicians couldn't do for us by being each other's keeper.
Its not over yet, lets keep winning.
Best wishes.

FBNH has not been truthful with its shareholders. Access that just took over Diamond bank has recovered over 13b in bad debts. First has written off over 400b and yet to make any significant recoveries. You would have done well being in UBA or Access Bank sef.

Access loan recovery is aggressive and terrific. Herbert is someone that follows his money into the hole. I have had series of encounter with him and I tell you he is a “street banker”. If you are owing Herbert the guy go dey your case o. He will throw away that corporate and professional finesse and etiquette expected of an MD and square with you.... grin in fact, I use to think may be he sniffs something before going for such high level meetings.... grin

However, in the case of first bank, their management is docile and lacks good loan recovery strategy. Also their risk management and corporate governance is very very weak.

If you know you are not credit worthy don’t just near Herbert....coz na you go willingly surrender your business to him.... grin

You should be thankful that I pushed you into doing what you think is good for you. If you have found your rhythm after over a decade of playing the market, then good luck with that.

This only proves my point that you were here to seek for funds and then share profits, that is the attribute of scammers that have gone broke after repeated shots of trading personal funds. Whatever you post to counter that fact is irrelevant. In your over ten years of trading forex, I am very certain that this is not the first free money you got from a broker. Since this one has helped your life, you might do well to be deligent with it going forward.

Another thing, stop posting your financial life on public forums, you are just risking your life to prove a point.

My message has been for you to stop soliciting, it is that simple.

People were cautioned about the possible value trap in FBNH long before now. ...at the time the stock was still selling for near N7.
Yes, it is gradually coming down(in price) to a good value zone. However, when u benchmark the coys risk-return to that within the circle of its 1st tier peers(ZENITH, ACCESS, UBA, and GTB), u would see that the stock is still a bit expensive(MoS with ROI in view) compared to others.
The interpretation of this is that it is still better to choose from among its peers(particularly the 1st 3) ahead of FBNH given their current prices.
This is in view of a possible MoS for both dividend cashflow return and capital appreciation.

Folks will recall the post above.
The rest is history.

Looking @ their H1, 2019 financial print, I see that FBNH' greatest problem is that of COST OPTIMIZATION.
...in retrospect, provisioning was lower(QoQ in view), but cost keeps skyrocketing.

With every financial entity, the key to an effective drive in earnings lies in the ability to manage their EXPENSE LINE by continually beefing up cost-return ratio.
Because managing CFO, interest expense, operating expense, and AsY play a very pivotal role in determining a coys AsQ direction.
Unfortunately, the managers of FBNH have performed woefully in this line.

Q2 even saw a further 900bps contraction in CAR to15.6% despite a slight improvement in NPL. ...and a 1,000bps drop in EPS to 44k(QoQ)
By inference, even tier 2 peers like FCMB and FIDELITY utilized their asset to generate more earnings than FBNH when u weigh their different asset base.

As I stated in the past, fellow 1st tier peers, UBA, ACCESS and ZENITH(including tier 2 peers FCMB and FIDELITY) @ current mkt prices presents a clearer and greater MoS deriavable value to tap from, and so remains better options ahead of 1st bank.

We shall only be interested in keying into FBNH @ the right value zone(pegging a higher risk premium)

My Pleasure Sir !!

On the later part of ur post; that's probably why we may consider keying in. ...but that will only be @ a greater risk premium.(MoS in view)
The idea will be to as much as possible have a higher possible risk-adjusted return @ entry and then exit before that risk catches up with our target return !! (sure u get my drift)
That's a fine way to play an asset of questionable quality and yield like FBNH. ...otherwise, i'll focus solely on the fundamentally sound coys.

Regards.

If you see fbnh at #3 with 10 million offer, 1 thousand bid or on full offer at #3, would you still say that is your region.
Take : buying at a low price does not necessarily mean buying at bargain

You may see a stock on full offer today, at #3 , with no bids and the next day you see the same stock on full bid at #3.3 without any change to its fundamentals.
Markets works more on crowd mentality than anything.
