Martinomi: Generally, when medical exam is requested and updated as passed, BVL notification comes within (1-4weeks), followed by an approval which can happen within the space of 30mins-72hrs. However, in some cases this varies. |

olalemii: The pay doesn't actually matter to the visa officer. Getting a study leave from a company here in Nigeria, shows that your prospects back home would remain extremely high after the acquisition of your program in Canada and chances of securing a higher position in the company is great as well. Thus, I would suggest you include it and hope for the best. 1 Like |

Martinomi: You got no reason to be scared! Your application falls under cases that varies. I would advice you wait for a few days before sending a CSE to the immigration office in charge of your application... Hopefully you should receive a PPR soon. By the way, what's your resumption date? |

Concate:Yes they allow dual intent but they recently denied someone TRV because he had EE profile (I felt so so SAD for the guy). CIC sometimes can be unpredictable and it is sad, they aren't consistent with their so called rules sometimes |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 6:46pm On Sep 06, 2019 |
makano:CIC have dual intent policy, but they sometimes go against that. I have seen people with who applied for EE and study and got both, also I have seen someone denied study because he had EE app running . So you see what these CIC guys are doing |

Chibzee2:It won't cost you anything to use Google to search for schools and see their respective application dates for your intended program. What you seek is there on the school's website. Peace |
Re: Canadian Student Visa Thread Part 16 by mcobex: 6:54pm On Sep 06, 2019 |
Martinomi:Have you contacted your school to let them know of the present development? They need to know so they can advise you on what to do(if to defer your admission or they permit you to resume a bit late) |

Hi gurus in the house, I have a few landed property and a house built in my name here in Nigeria, I plan on using them as home ties but I don’t know if they might want to know how I managed to acquire them cos I’ve not been working since I graduated but I was able to raise those funds from cryptocurrency I invested in when it was quite in voke, I’ll also be sponsoring myself so I would like to know if it’s a nice idea to use them and also if it won’t raise any red flag since I’ll state it in my application that I’ve not been receiving salary since I returned from service....I actually passed out in 2017(NYSC) so am planning on applying for a PGC program..thanks in anticipation |

Hi guys, been a silent reader here following all your advice, been a big source of encouragement & reference for me. I got my approval yesterday. First Application. Applied online : June 22, 2019 Biometrics: June 26, 2019 Medical: July 17, 2019 Passed: July 20, 2019 Approval/Correspondence :August 1, 2019 Just want to say, I was really worried as all the documents I submitted for proof of financial ability were much and after managing to compress to 3.9MB, the documents didn't look to sharp, I thought that it would be an issue but I thank God, for favour. I will suggest if you are having same challenges as I did, you can use CamScanner on Android play store, I found out about it after submitting mine with poor resolutions. Thanks. Update: Passport Request : August 5, 2019 Submitted: August 6, 2019 Passport return : August 16, 2019 Grateful! Wish you all success. Please, looking for Nigerians in U of Regina, Saskatchewan. Update: I arrived on the 3rd Sept. From Abuja to Frankfurt to Calgary & then Regina. Looking forward to having an amazing experience even though it's cold. Thank you all. 19 Likes

I am using my dad as my sponsor, he has an account he had set aside for my education ( the account is in his name and he had set it aside for my undergraduate studies in Turkey), he will use the same account for my postgraduate studies but the account does not have much inflow and outflow ( I came back after my undergraduate studies in 2018 so the account has not been used). * when I came back I did nysc and I finished this year so throughout there was no use for the account* Will that be an issue since he moved money thrice into it after I told him of my admission( we plan on explaining the money movement in his sop) OR should he send the bulk money to me and I will use my bank statement to apply? Will submitting a bank statement of the account he set aside for my studies fly ? Also he sent the tuition fee to my uba to pay but I couldn’t pay using uba so I moved the money to GTBank( never used it since I came back to Nigeria , I only recently used it for the tuition payment). if he moves the money to my uba there will be no record of tuition payment from the Uba account, if he sends it to my GTBank, it will be a bulk amount since the only transaction in the last one year is only the recent tuition payment. Please which is a better way to go? Thanks |

Martinomi:Cool, your application will be approved soon. Once they defer your admission they will send you another offer letter, that's what you will send to CIC when they ask for an updated offer letter (cos they will surely ask for it since the one you submitted would have expired when your TRV will be ready) |

Daniel4canada:1. Not late 2. Read from first page of this part to get that, also check CIC website to get first hand information on what and what you need as well 3. Yes 4. Yes it will, but they will have to show commitment by paying the funds to your personal account or better still pay your tuition fee before you apply for TRV 5. No specific format, use what you have 6. Yes it will go a long way, also you can include family ......... NB: Reading previous pages and parts of this thread will help you now and in future 1 Like 1 Share |

Zzzz1234:Use your most active account to apply then explain that you had to move the money to your other account to enable you pay your tuition (since you couldn't do that with the more active account). Also, since you dad transferred the funds to your active account, all he needs to do is explain in his letter of support that he has showed commitment by paying the said funds into your personal account. Since the account opened for your study carries your dad's name and it hasn't been active for a while, let your dad just use his own personal account that is active to show proof of funds that he can sponsor you beyond your first year. NB: I just hope I made sense to you because I am rushing out and needed to address this 1 Like |
