Good morning mamas, I had my baby almost three weeks ago, I am having trouble breastfeeding him as I am not making enough milk so he cries a lot after latching for a while. For now I am augmenting with NAN 1 but I would like to know what I can be taking to produce more breastmilk. I have tried Pap and milk. Thanks

OK I will. With the above u likely don't have it. I would suggest u use cotton wool to apply the Nystain oral suspension and clean round the mouth but applying directly not less than 4 times daily

Thanks ma. The cotton wool to apply for the baby or around my nipple. Currently I used the dropper that came with it to rub it on her tongue where the patches are 4times daily.

Dear mummies

If I'm not having issues with supply, and I don't have anywhere to go I.e fully on maternity leave, is there any need to give baby food other than milk?

Lo is 4 months now and in my eyes he's ready to eat food. Is exclusive really the best option if baby seems obviously ready to eat?

Please I need encouragement to continue exclusive. I've already bought rice cereal and brought out his plate, spoon and cup lol. I just want what's best for my baby.

Complete the six months ma'am since you have all it takes to do it. Someone asked this question on Ask the paediatrician group on Facebook and Dr. Gbemisola said she should complete the six month.

My fellow sweet teamie, how una dey? It's just a little while and six months will complete. Keep it up.

As for me and bobo we didn't do EBF. We started including pap since 2 months. At the end the most important thing is to have a healthy baby and mama.

Cheers cheesy

My dear, keep it up. You are doing a great job. I love the part of dragging breast. I had it in mind to do at least for 3 months but his constant crying and not adding weight in my eye made me opt for option B.

This my young man is already acting as if he doesn't send my bobby anymore. He prefers the pap to any other thing even breast. Come see as I dey carry heavy duty for chest.

At times I refused him pap till he empties the breast. It is not cool to feel that if I leave him and travel for a month sef bobo won't miss me. sad

You are welcome dear. Trust he's doing great now? My dear, it is God that takes care of children,we only try. Don't be surprised that some of them manifest these signs at the verge of giving up because they are fighters. They fight the infections the way adults fight too.

Good morning, thing is I also tried pumping with manual pump the milk that came out from one breast didn't reach up to half of the bottle so I realized that it was not enough, maybe I'm wrong though but I just feel it should be more.
I had an emergency Cs to save mine and my baby's lives. It has not been easy but by God's grace we are doing good. I dunno if that also contributed. One mama said something about palm wine, would love to try that and I will keep using the pump you're right about mimicking baby sucking. Thanks a lot.

Ensure you see a paediatrician or better still go to a teaching or govt hospital. Recurrent fever isn't good, the body system is fighting something.
