IPOB: Nnamdi Kanu Risks ICC Prosecution, UK Extradition As Group Files Criminal Complaint Against Him
In the criminal complaint, MNBI prayed, "That the ICC prosecutor opens an investigation of the accused on her own accord under Article 15 (1) of the Rome Statute."
BY SAHARA REPORTERS, NEW YORK SEP 09, 2019

A criminal complaint has been filed against the leader of the
proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, at the
International Criminal Court (ICC) at The Hague, asking the ICC to
order Kanu's arrest and prosecution.

Thomas Carroll of Gaylord Popp, LLC, acting on behalf of the
Incorporated Trustees of Make Nigeria Better Initiative (MNBI), in the
criminal complaint dated September 2, 2019, said IPOB issued a threat
to attack President Muhammadu Buhari, during his visit to Japan.

In the criminal complaint, MNBI prayed, "That the ICC prosecutor opens
an investigation of the accused on her own accord under Article 15 (1)
of the Rome Statute."

"That the ICC prosecutor also formally submit to the pre-trial chamber
of the ICC a request for authorization of an investigation of the
accused under Article 15 (3) of the Rome Statute."

"That the ICC prosecutor obtain international arrest warrant for the
accused from the ICC in accordance with Articles 58 (1) (a), 58 (1)
(b) (i), 58 (1) (b) (ii) and 58 (1) (b) (iii) and proceed to arrest
the Accused from wherever he is hiding so he can face their trial."

"That the ICC prosecutor compels the accused upon conviction under the
Rome Statute to pay the sum of $1,000,000,000 as punitive damages for
causing death, injury, and maiming of several Nigerians through his
acts of terrorism."

"That the ICC prosecutor compels the British government to
expeditiously begin the process of cancelling the citizenship of
Nnamdi Kanu, entering an exclusion decision and or order barring him
from all territories of the United Kingdom so he can return to Nigeria
and face his treasonable felony trial pending before Justice Binta
Nyako sitting at a federal high court, Abuja."

According to MNBI, apart from IPOB's attack on Senator Ike Ekweremadu
in Nuremberg, Germany, acting on the orders of Kanu, similar threats
were issued against the five south-east governors (David Umahi of
Ebonyi, Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi of Enugu, Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia and Willie
Obiano of Anambra).

What a mockery of ICC statutes.

Bunch of confused bigots lacking in knowledge of what constitutes civil disobedience under democracy.

This is laughable. How can you get a court to prosecute a man for a crime he is yet to commit? You want the ICC to prosecute Kanu for ordering an attack that is yet to happen?

Or do they think that the attack on Ekweremadu is what any serious court will attend to? The attack on Ekweremadu is a civil matter since he did not suffer any grievous bodily harm.

ICC attends to serious issues, not common 'street fight'

Expel Biafrans From Nigeria Now!

What amazes sane minds is the hatred of the Igbo by the rest of Nigerians yet they are not protesting for the Igbo to leave the Union. They even had to fight the Igbo for nearly three years and killed about 3m of them to be part of Nigerian, yet they utterly hate them. The government is also not left out in this official contempt of the Igbo. There are no federal infrastructures in the Igbo region and no gas pipelines, even when the Igbo have abundant gas and crude oil, while there is a refinery in the arid Kaduna without a drop of crude.

It has been proven overtime that what unites Nigerians are their collective contempt of the Igbo man. Another thing that come close to such fake unity is when the Nigerian national team play football. Chinua Achebe, a great Igbo son and author of several books explained this fact in his ultimate book,

"There Was A Country ".

When Malaysia felt uncomfortable with Singapore they expelled them and today, Singapore is a first world country and Malaysia is still a third world country.

Nigerians please protest and pressure the government to expel the Igbo from the suffocating union. We can be good neighbours than the endless hate and stereotypes. The Igbo have shown in strongest terms their desire to have their own country. Stop the hate and expel the Igbo from Nigeria.
