Just seeing reports that the new government plans to extend the postgraduate work visa of international students in the UK from 4 months to 2 years. There will be no cap on the number of visas issued. What's your take on this? Unlimited22: Competition will be tough for jobs, but the backdoor is back! School fees don cost though. Master's degree for international students starts from like 15k for not so fancied schools. As usual, na Indians go still spoil this Appian way las las 1 Like 1 Share |

Unlimited22: Means the door is open once again. For anyone who wants to migrate to the UK this is is the time to hustle that masters money, get the degree and then stay back legally. Like Nihilist said though, Indians will flood the grad school (and post grad job) market with their superior population size, old boy network, reputation as well as their superior purchasing power. Over here they and the Chinese have cornered most of the job markets. 2 Likes 1 Share |

Unlimited22: This is in contrast to the new immigration policy being put forward by Trump in the United States. The focus is not so much on international students but immigrants with specific skills who can make immediate contributions to the economy with little risks of depending on public assistance. The requirements for seeking a non immigrant visa into the US is now going to be based off points and those with those specific skills stand a better chance. As for the the British plan, my question(s) is, do they have a plan to integrate the students through a visa category into the workforce after the 4 years? Or do they remain under the student visa and have to return to their home country? Countries that absorb international students take a lot of risk but sometimes they capitalize by integrating good talents into their workforce. While it is considered brain drain and some form of capital flight for developing countries, it provides opportunities for people in developing countries to escape hardship. The HB1 visa in the US is changing because of the policy I highlighted above. Is this plan designed to provide an absorber for the British economy post Brexit? There are tons of angles to look at this. 1 Like 2 Shares |

Jodera: If this is not an Airmark alternate account, you guys share the same brain. He uses 99% of it. I am sure you saw an "American tab", " British tab". When you clicked the British tab what was the definition? You know there is something called using "an" as an indefinite article in front of "all-time" and using "an all-time" as a phrase? If you people don't understand something why not just silently learn? LOL 6 Likes |

Kimbeast: I already hinted at this. The mischief there was to claim City squad was far and away a pricey one. Ederson was bought for 35M but his value today is close to 60M. Bernando Silva 42M today maybe 80s or 90s. By adjusting things like that, they will come to the 1B they wanted to claim. |

Most of the ones who stayed through marriage later found job that passes the permanent residency threshold, but not in the first year.
