Now the bigger question. . .

When they arrive Nigeria, what will they engaged themselves with as a source of livelihood?
many of them has a business here before the left for greener pastures as many will call it.

But it cost many of them as high as 1m to travel down there.

It seems Nigerians are obsessed with travelling abroad without weighing the benefit.

Nigerians contribute only drugs into our economy, since we are cleaning you guys the Rand is even improving. We where supposed to get downgraded to junk status but we did not. The market that is actually contributing to our economy is welcoming the cleaning that is happening.

Only places that are fronting as drug shops where mainly attacked and mostly Nigerians own this places even south Africans dealing in drugs where attacked but media overlooked that. Then the cleaning hungry criminals joined in and started to loot everything including south african owned shops. Professional Nigerians don't stay in those places. The attacks happened in the city slums and townships places which am also scared of. That is the places where you find the poorest people and dumps everywhere because of overpopulation.

To be honest I dnt think we will find solution as long as both parties are only driven by emotions than trying to find the root cause and help each (I condemn xenophobia but I end up commenting other wise because of insults on this forum). I liked the maturity of Nigerian officials who are willing to help south africa solve crimes within Nigerian community in south Africa. On the other hand south africa should be harsh on who ever try jungle justice and protect Nigerians in south Africa and let the law work.

MAJORITY OF THIS RETURNEES ARE IGBOs.

Hardly you find Hausa, Yoruba, South South People ( Niger deltan ) in South Africa.

The returnees should come home and help develop the local economy back home in Nigeria.

Those returnees that has BAD BEHAVIOUR should change for the better.

Do not return home to engage in drug trafficking that the south africans were accusing you of.

CHANGE O!

Yorubas are many in South Africa ,mostly into internet fraud just as others tribe

I am from delta state and south south are also many in South Africa ,the less people in South Africa are the Hausas

Don't just sit down there at your and speak what you don't know

I won't be suprised if you haven't cross the Nigeria airport in your entire life

True.

Most often, the thought of others being abroad is the impetus that makes them want to go abroad.

People spent up to N1m to travel to SA?

Na lie joor, South Africa will be a safe place.

I disagree. Yes South Africa will not become another Zimbabwe as long as the Afrikaans are there, BUT the crime wave, especially murder and armed robbery, will still be very high.
Re: Xenophobia: Nigerians Board A Bus To South African Airport, Set To Return Home by Nobody: 5:55pm On Sep 11, 2019
The fact of the matter is that, the few that are into drugs trading are hardly caught in the cross-fire and they will never come home.

These ones coming home are the numerous innocent few contributing positively to their economy through legal businesses. They are always the ones caught in the cross fire.

I which them goodluck as they arrive their father's land.

This is one of those nonsense news. Do you know how many Nigerians travel to and from South Africa daily? Take picture of two busloads and claim it's Xenophobia. If some people are returning for that reason, well hopefully they won't be coming back to experience kidnappers, skull miners, herdsmen, SARS, trigger-happy police, or fake drug peddlers.
