Good day Ladies and Gentlemen.
I'm an unemployed graduate and a friend in the United Kingdom just advise me to go into SOFTWARE TESTING.

I don't really know much about it, I kindly need the advice and opinions of Software Gurus in the house on these:
1. Where can I have the training in Nigeria?
2. How much will it cost me?
3. How lucrative is it as a career in Nigeria
4. How relevant is it in Nigeria?

I will be waiting for your contributions. Thanks and God bless.

to be a software tester, you need to have an experience on how application works. then you can proceed to download tools that will enable to do that

You can learn on your own online. So many free resources. Check guru99

If you are in Lagos look out for Tezza business solutions or 1stImageConsultancy.

If you want more info about software testing in Nigeria you can mention me and I'll discuss more.
However there is an association of Nigerian software testers and they meet often to share tips and ideas, and you can get to meet many software testers and test engineers in Lagos.

Wrong info. Its way beyond that scope.

It's highly lucrative in the UK. Manual testers earn as high as 450pounds daily.

In Nigeria, I have no idea how it works.

In Nigeria Manual testers don't earn good pay. Infact companies do not even look for manual software testers like that. They always need QA Engineers. I'm supersized to hear manual software testing is lucrative in UK.

I want to ask what a newbie in testing needs to know? What should I pay attention to and what should I definitely know?

Why not learn quality assurance engineering instead. Being a software tester in Nigeria is not really in demand.

Google brought me Back here in 2023.

I think the goal should be moving from a manual tester to a QA Engineer with Knowledge of Automation and then nSoftware Engineer in Test

I find this article about Software Testing in Nigeria interesting as well
