@samorobo

Sad part is I actually like the ARA 2 and i have praised the remarkable progress Proforce and the whole Nigerian defence industry has made in only a few years.

I did not come here to bash Nigeria.... in fact I've probably had more debates with the Kenyans on this thread than the Nigerians.

And the fact that I'm picking on you is because you firstly called me a lair a couple of months back, and secondly pedalled false information regarding the ARA/Proforce.

But since you won't believe me maybe you could ask @AskiaHarem he's frequented the military threads a couple of times and has reasonable knowledge on the subject, if you ask him he will probably confirm that the UN has never bought any Proforce vehicles just like it hasn't bought any South African or Kenyan vehicles.

Leave askiaharam out of this,it is you I know....is this to say you will no longer perturb me with your quotes

Except that he never mentioned that, Did he?

He did. He said "If I was in Lagos I would prolly find it hard to walk because people will want to grab my stick" grin Not sure which stick, but we go with the selfie stick. grin

He was obviously juxtaposing walking in the business district of Nairobi vs Lagos. I know your ego cant allow you to accept even the most obvious facts.

Anyway learn to take care of your apartments and it's faulty appliances,as well as it's dirty pool. You don't want visitors feeling uncomfortable after paying for lodging services ..

We will. Meanwhile, fix your pitch black polluted water in Lagos so that we wont have Nigerians coming to Kenya to marvel over crystal clear ocean water.

By the way is Mombassa that far from nairobi or is it that your sgr is so snail paced grin grin..I mean 5 hours is alot

It takes about 4.5 hrs by train and about 8 hrs by road (thats half the time). So the rail is def faster. Show me a faster train ride in the entire Federal Republic.

grin Funny thing is, that's all almost too true for the 95.5% of the ouldeme carrying an Indo-european, Eurasian haplogroup R1b

Today's Africa with respect to male lineages is too complex, except for a few groups like the Igbo, who Sammy believes are white's & the Yoruba who have an upwards of 90 to 100% of their lineage group belonging to just one haplogroup. I mean who would've guessed most Luos like aren't even true nilotic Luos & a good number of Kamba's & Kikuyu's have lineages from the Masai's.

Of the 6 existing linguistic groups in Africa, if we exclude the indo-european languages & focus on the lineages of the other five these are the most common haplogroup for each of the groups.

Language groups; Most common Haplogroups
Afro-Asiatic E1b1b= 34.8% R1b20.8% J19.5%
Nilo-Saharan E1b1b= 33.9% A= 23.2% B=17.4%
Khoisan A= 44.3% E1b1a= 23.0% E1b1b= 16.4%
Niger-Congo E1b1a= 68.2% B= 9.6% E2= 6.9%
Austronesian; malagasy E1b1a= 34.3% B= 8.6% E2= 8.6

Has the ARA or any proforce vehicle for that matter been exported to Southern Africa as you claimed:

It's a simple yes/no question

Nuff said

But my excitement soon turned to frustration when I realised how difficult it would be to buy a ticket - in neighbouring Kenya you go on the SGR website, buy your ticket and pay via the money mobile service, M-Pesa, but in Ethiopia things were a little more difficult.
(May I add automated ticketing is the way in the 254, you bloody bastards wink )

FG approves $5.3bn Ibadan-Kano rail project

The Federal Government has given approval for the construction of the $5.3bn Ibadan to Kano standard gauge rail line project.

Minister of Transportation, Rotimi Amaechi, disclosed this on Thursday at the third Maritime Stakeholders Interactive Forum.

“Just yesterday, we got approval to complete the $5.3bn Ibadan to Kano rail project. We have also applied for funding to commence coastal rail for the Port Harcourt to Warri segment,” Amaechi said.

According to a statement issued by the Federal Ministry of Transportation in Abuja, the minister also revealed that the Minister of State for Transportation, Gbemisola Saraki, would be in charge of all maritime agencies, while he (Amaechi) would focus on the railway sector.

He said, “In my first term as minister, I completely abandoned the maritime sector to the heads of agencies. This time, that won’t be happening again.

“I have instructed that the Minister of State for Transportation should personally supervise the maritime agencies, while I just oversee what is happening.”

Amaechi said he had discussed issues on maritime safety with President Muhammadu Buhari and assured his listeners that by next year, the country will have a single window in the maritime sector.

He said, “There are two things I discussed with Mr. President that I will be focusing on in this second term as minister, and they are maritime security and the single window project.

“I have assured the government that by the end of 2020, we should have the single window at our maritime sector.

“On maritime security, I have told the Israeli firm HSLI that they are too slow. By now, they should have launched. I want to know the situation of things with the aspect of security on our maritime space.”

I don't know how to answer in bits like you did, that's why I am numbering it..so let's dig in

1): he did used the word Lagos ,and for the stick we can't be so sure. Who knows it might be his P*Nis or he might have possessed an actually stick with him.....We both are completely clueless to what he meant as he should have been more specific for better understanding grin

2): look this is not about ego but fact, he never mentioned business district. Stop trying to alter his utterance, let's just stick to what he actually said.

3): He was simply admiring the one good thing mother nature never took or tampered with which is your lake.He wasn't focus on its cleanliness but its beauty. We have better world class, more beautifully advanced lake here u. Nigerian. The dude as even dine videos in one of Lagos lakes which has been posted here before. Here you can watch it if you haven't

Whilst South Africa's economic indicators are still strong and above many in the continent, what is happening lately shows a country that is slowly creeping to the dogs if its leadeship doesn't get its act together.

''A recent survey showed that 27 percent of South African students who complete six years of school still cannot read, compared to 4 percent in far poorer Tanzania. Only 37 percent of South African students who start school pass the matriculation exam.''
