what about those that were never invited for assessment test and interview by GCC, got a regret mail but were later sent an apology mail to disregard the regret mail. what is their fate? i know some friends in this scenario

Total HR Team are conducting these recruitment based on the urgency to fill in these positions (always established by departments). That is how they prioritize their recruitment tasks to meet up with department deadlines.

For example the BUYER position, the MGR may say he needs the new recruit in 3weeks max window. The contract Engineer is needed in 4weeks max window. In that way HR organises herself. So Buyers position applicants you guys are moving on your process. Contract Engineer applicants, expect your invitation from next week but you all need to know that initial selection is over.

If you got regret mail move on. Those that got regret mail and also an apology mail that asked you to disregard please prepare for your interview. You have been screen out to face the next stage.

The apology letter came straight from Total HR (human typed for successful candidates).

If you got regret mail from GCC but no Total apology mail to disregard the regret mail from GCC please move on.

If you got regret mail from Total only and no apology that rescinds that regret mail please move on even if GCC sent you success mail.

If you got regret mail from GCC and later got the apology mail from Total this case is the most improbable. If this is your case, then know that Total shortlisted you

1. because your application was submitted to Total after the pass mark percentile was adjusted. It was adjusted because the CV and assessment report GCC sent in to Total was not satisfactory....Mind you these are experience hire positions, so years of work experience Trump's academic assessment. Deal with this fact!! Unless it's the position of RESERVOIR ENGINEER where grads are also required.

I hope most of you all applied on both GCC and Total platform? To avoid GCC dragneting you. Another fact is many would be recruited based on their application onTotal career page and not from their GCC applications..

TOTAL HAS THE FINAL SAY TO SCREEN CANDIDATES. EVEN IF GCC SCREENED YOU OUT OR SCREENED YOU IN. SO YOUR HOPE AND LUCK STOPS AT THE TOTAL HR TABLES.....

It looks like the experienced level positions are getting direct interview instead of going thru the accessment process. My observation though.

However.. Did anyone here applied for Telecommunications Maintenance Engineer?
