From 2002-2006 England had G.Neville, Ferdinand, Campbell, John Terry, Ashley Cole, Gerrard, Scholes (retired 2004) Beckham, Lampard, Rooney and Owen. All those players were world class at some point between 2002-2006 and other good players like Carragher, Hargreaves and Joe Cole. individually it was a great team. The talent was not lacking, all it needed was good management.
