I am surprised that Mr Sola Okediji, the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), FCT, was shocked that some constable aspiring to join Nigeria Police could not give the name of Nigeria President and the Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN). Let's be serious and honest here, what did he expect when you're predominantly hiring from the most uneducated and ill-informed segment of the population? Mr. Okediji was simply being disingenuous to act like he was surprised at the level of illiteracy amongst the recruits. He got what he wanted. It's akin to a fisher man who casts his net in a shallow water and expected to catch a shark. So, please save us the drama and move on to your next task...promoting the same ill-informed and illiterate bunch to higher positions than their peers from other parts of the country.

Not knowing the name of the chief justice of Nigeria may be excusable, but not knowing the name of the president may indicate that the candidate is either uneducated or is a foreigner.

Interview was for constables recruited at Rivers state. Must everything be linked to Fulanis?
