USA Castrol now is for sale at a great price at 13500 ,fully synthetic.....



We got your oil filter good for up to 15k miles oil change.. Great price at 2k .....sTP filters one of the well know brand ....

Mobil 1 oil has very good reviews ,so not only the oil is good among the customers, but marketing too helps.. You can market a product and spend the most money.. If the product is bad nobody go buy am at all ..... So it is a double edge sword

When you do a cold start and see this, put your finger on the tail pipe entrance. There will be moisture there.

This smoke is not bluish... it's a COLD START and the engine is yet to attain the operational temperature.

If you notice the temperature gauge for cars that still have thermostats...the temperature rises and gets to a place that looks like the middle of the gauge. At that point, if it tries to move up, the thermostats opens and the engine cooling fan comes on till the thermostat closes it again as the coolant is cooled down... the engine temperature maintains a range for optimum performance.

I rest my case...

Any weight is possible in dino or syn oil. It all depends on what the manufacturer wants to blend based on customer feedback.

Bros, Castrol Edge Professional 5W30 is what COSCHARIS uses on all these Rolls Royce, BMW, FORD, RANGE ROVER... it's a perfect fit.

Why going for advanced synthetic that you don't need just for the sake of using?

The good news is that conventional drain intervals for Castrol Edge Professional is 8-10,000kms.

Check BMW ISIS or ISPI Platforms

Dru's former fleet manager sludged up his engines by not replacing oil as at when due.. Since then, he has been all over nairaland claiming 20w-50 damaged his engines and his miracle mobil 1 saved him grin grin

I see.

Mobil1 is a good oil no doubt t but it's not the end of it all.

In my car racing circle it's looked down upon. You have class leading oils like Lucas, Motul and others.

I use M1 because it's cheap and available at Walmart but I wouldn't 't go on a full throated defense of it because I know there are certainly better boutique oils.

I wouldn't put STP filter or any Castrol oil in my enemies lawnmower.

I use K&N filters as appropriate. There's another brand ion filter I use form Pep Boys that is a ProLine.

People should just read their manuals, buy locally available oil and use a filter with good anti drain back valve. Decide on a good OCI based on the conditions.
