samsard:I applied on Monday last week and I was told to come and collect it on Friday despite choosing the instant option. when I asked why, they said they want to do a KYC (know your customer) on the account. I was able to collect the card on Friday and verified my paypal same day. |

Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by samsard(m): 11:56am On Sep 15, 2019 |
emmyid:That's why there are no calls on queue. There's an avalanche of new entrants who just cheated their way in to make easy money Moments like this I can understand why Transcribeme and the other platforms make passing their test a really hard thing to achieve. I have an unrated call that's 11 days old right now, which is unprecedented. She basically said they're overwhelmed with transcripts, a lot of which is actually poor and stressing out the Qas. |
Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by samsard(m): 12:00pm On Sep 15, 2019 |
Thraedz:Of course people are being removed, those who submit terrible scripts no longer have the grace of 14 days and 10 calls. |

samsard: Yes. She is somewhat happy for the new wave of competition though. A scc marked me down for something I was right about. I contacted her and she realised she was wrong. But still didn't upgrade me from a 3. Giving me one flimsy excuse. It is well. I am so sad right now. Because, that call affected my rating and didn't even afford me good cash. Just $0.50,Shouldn't have done it. |

emmyid:Too much competition and everyone would end up with $4 a week. Well, I'm already setting up a gig on Fiverr, it's tough but I'll take the deep and let Qa slide if if works. At least I learnt. |
Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by emmyid(m): 12:11pm On Sep 15, 2019 |
samsard: I should also try setting up a gig on Fiverr too. |
Re: Self Employment Opportunity: Transcribing For A Living In Nigeria Part 1 by kinzu(m): 12:33pm On Sep 15, 2019 |
Biritiko: Unless your pp is fully verified (proof of address and ID) and you have linked verified bank accounts, pp can still play with your money. There are limitations no one knows about until you try to make a withdrawal. Then you get that dreaded "something went wrong..." screen. My advice will be to limit your inflow to as few sources as possible and only make withdrawal to the same card if you don't have a bank account linked to the pp account. Secondly, keep daily withdrawals below $500. Never leave your account empty (always have at least $2) left after withdrawals and if you are operating a merchant account, limit pp to pp transactions. Don't withdraw funds immediately it hits your account |
