I don’t wan’t to jinx him (Bissaka) but defensively he is a roadblock. It is obvious that 1v1 wingers don’t fancy themselves against him. He is as good if not better than advertised defensively.

Going forward however he still lacks some polish. The good thing though is that he puts in serious effort and tries to make something happen. He still might come good in that respect.

Lindelof should hit the gym. His lack of strength and aerial ability when is troubling and is more highlighted now he is playing beside Harry Maguire.

POSTIVES;
1) The defence was solid and it seems I might currently rate young ahead of Shaw in the LeftBack position.
2) We controlled the midfield but until Matic seemed to be tired.(Afterall "you must not hold the ball to control the game" -Mourinho
3) Fred is very energetic and he could replace Pogba in the deep role, then Pogba moves upfield
4)Mc Tominay deserves the man of the match he was everywhere on the pitch, make mistakes though but had too much positives to outweigh his negatives
5)Chong looked like the real deal when he came on with his touches and dribbles
6)Ole was spot on with his substitutes.


NEGATIVES;
1)Matic is finished Fred should definitely start ahead of him
2) Rashford is not a No.9 that can bang in goals, although we know that already ( he plays too deep)
3) Chong should have started ahead of Mata with Pereira moving centrally
4) Lindelof is now the weak link in our defence( I expected that to be young)
5) Goals are scored by taking shots only Tominay and James too 2+ shots today

Rafael was not unnecessary forced to start ahead of Garry Neville and Brown. SAF tried many many young players who never were above average and were dropped again. At one time, every EPL opposition we played had a former United academic player.

It is part of his job. The modern day FB has to play a major role in the way teams attack. A good example is Liverpool with TAA and Robertson, and even the way Pep uses his FBs.

One of the reasons our attack is blunt and we are easy to defend against is that we get next to nothing from our FBs. It is not the major reason but it is a factor.

For Bissaka, I dare say its because of the lack of a winger in front of him. He's not a Dani alves, he won't be able to man that wing by himself. Not like he gets any help defensively, remember Lindelof is the one beside him there. I believe he will be better going forward when he has a winger he can interchange with.

Mctominay was undoubtedly man of the match for me. Just happy we got the three points.

Lindelof and maguire did extremely well to pocket vardy. Lindelof still shaky a bit though.

Most times sef AWB is left alone to do the attacking job on the right flank. The RWinger is almost always absent.

Definitely na just to raise the hype of their academy. Their was nothing special about la masia until they got lucky with the xavi/Messi generation . 3 yrs from now that boy will be in a relegation team. Our academy is better
