Every reason you can give as to why people marry is "fleeting". It just depends on how you look at it.

Many people evolve in marriage, but it doesn't mean the marriage will crash. The idea is for partners to evolve together, and that is why you should be with someone you can connect with past the superficial.

The issue arises when one person is growing and changing and the other person is stagnant. That is what breeds discord most, in my opinion.

For clarity cos of people that missed the pool party: why did you think Mercy went all nuts and started ranting at Ike after the pool party?

The reason was...most of the guys went to gather around Tacha in the keke and started conversing while Mercy, Diane and co. Were still in pool. The list of guys (Mike, Ike, Elo and later Omatshola whom later left)

Apart from her stage melt down which was to draw people's attention and create a controversy (which she already acknowledged), she was provoked most of the time she had a melt down.

I could recall the time when she was shut down in a vile way cos she was contesting the fact that males were more abused than the females. That was the first week.

Mercy has the second largest fan base, second to Tacha. And she has a lot of fans in Ike, Mike and Diane camps. If any of these guys leave, their fans will vote for Mercy.

In fact it hurts Mercy's performance on the charts if Ike remains in the house. If Ike gets evicted Mercy becomes stronger.
