Yeah... that's classified under few others. They still have quality talents but not in abundance like they did post-2009.

They have no quality talents under 24.This is a team I follow almost as much as I do the Eagles. A team where Samuel Owusu is a starter, even Kwabena Owusu is an integral part of their squad. Neither of the two would make our dream team squad

Just a reminder of how Pinnick tried luring Tammy.

We keep saying people insult us when we are the one's insulting ourselves. His whole pitch was that we don't have good players like England. We basically made ourselves the back up plan

But let me repeat again that I prefer a 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 with the talents we have than a 4-4-2. I will rather Start one of Osimhen or Abraham. And ofcos Osimhen is the top choice.

chidi1:

I don't think Osimhen and Abraham partnership is possible with the 4-4-2 formation. You include iwobi ( attacking midfielder to make the partnership effective) and the wing players, you are left with one more mid fielder (most likely defensive mid-fielder). Our Central Mid- Field would be practically non-existent. We would only be relying on quick counters for attacks in those games.

Moses Simon starts for Nantes in the Ligue 1 tie vs Reims.

A chance to improve on his one goal, one assist showing so far in Ligue 1.

I consider Yaw Yeboah as a quality one for them. Same as Paintsil Joseph of Genk.

Neither of the two would make the Super Eagles bench. The only thing going for Yaw now is his U17 glories. It's been six years since he lighted up the African youth championship, and he is still a youth team player after failed stints at Lille and Twente. This is same route Nwakali is desperately trynna ply

Ahn ahn... the Super Eagles bench is many steps too high for them naa. grin

Let's say they could try make the bench of our U-23s or be in the discussion. Make no mistake about this fact... Nigerian football and Ghanaian football are no longer on the same level... we are much higher in terms of pool of talents, quality players and much more biko.

Does Tomori see it that way?

All this young guys think about is the prestige of being called a 3 lions player even if he doesn't get to start.

That's the way it is. Even if he knows he has a better chance of commanding a starting shirt for Naija, he may feel that he can win more laurels representing England even as a bench warmer.

How did you arrive at that presumption from considering the bold❓

That Guinea Bissau was colonized by Portugal isn't enough to tie the lad to Portugal.

I don't know much about the kid's ancestral ties and how it relates to Portugal, so, I can't really tell.

I know quite a lot of guys from Guinea Bissau and yes they have literally a free ride to Portugal.

All you have to do is learn Portuguese and the rest is easy you be naija you should understand. Bureaucracy is still quite straightforward thier in respect of getting documentation.

forget all these things, a lot of Nigerians will find a lawful society difficult to live in.

Some people enjoy the lawlessness that abounds here, so, even if dem rush go England, dem go still rush come back.

Some people can't stand cold, those ones too go rush come back

Some people love authentic Nigerian meals, those ones too, no go last for abroad.

Some people are perverts, na deport dem go deport them come back

Las las, not more than 20 million Nigerians will eventually end up in England.

Yes, Tomori also wants to play for England. I'm sure about that and the fact that he is now getting quality game time with Chelsea makes him a target for the English FA. And I won't blame the lad if he chooses England over us. I too would tend towards Fried rice over garri and sugar if I had to make a choice when hungry

I can say Categorically as at a few months ago Tomori was waiting for Nigeria and the NFF to call. The same thing with Oviemuno and Seyi Ojo.

But NUTTIN happened.

We the NFF lack integrity we don't understand the word honouring your word we say one thing and do another. It's not entirely fault of Rohr but all these behind and around him.

D first line sums everything up...from agbonlahor to those we av missed, they re not dummies, dey re aware of all dis playing time issues, but d fact dt dey will b called a 3lions player sitting on d bench or been called up once in a wyle in friendly games seems preferable 2 dem dan been an active player in eagles...it was only iwobi dt surprised me,maybe due to his uncle influence sha,but am also sure,it took a lot of conviction b4 he made his decision to play for us.

Check out most British-nigerian dey don't openly declare to play for us not until when all options of plying for england is exhausted and age is catching, b4 dey switch allegiance most especially those players actively playing in elite club... As for me only miracle will happen to Tammy and tomori to play for us and if we re not fast enuf, once eze moves to a decent club,he will change its mind immediately once d British press start praising his talent, thus increasing his chances of representing England is getting brighter. wink

That's not true you are making assumptions without any substance.

It's not as simplistic as you make it.

If l say l have spoken with quite a few of our Nigerian origin players. Somebody will say l am posturing, how else am l suppose yo talk about the subject.

Looking at Tega Abrahams he is in a difficult dilemma, if he changes allegaiamce now he will be slated by the British for years to come.

He is already being slated by Nigerians either way he goes he gets HATE. As an England international hr makes a lot more money endorsements and advertising. That's the Financial front. As an youth England international the club gives you more preference loose that status and you loose your preference to the first team.

If he plays for England he will never be first choice.

If he comes to the SE he becomes immediately the new Yekini and it will probably draw a host if other Nigerian players here including Tomori.

My view is Amaju my guy " fall my hand " he is supposed to have been sharper than that. If you want to kidnap somebody you don't announce it in the public domain before you have captured him.

Now l think it's almost impossible too much at stake for Tega. He will giving up a lot to play for Nigeria.

ON THE ISSUE OF FOREIGN-BORN NIGERIAN
Nigeria FA always wait for the player to boom before given a call up as the national team is for only those who are ready to deliver. The National team is not for try and error.

We have many Nigerian in various youth academy, just few of them fulfil their potentials even England does not just call up a player because the player has potential. The player must be seen to add value to the team or can add value to another national team, hence, the call-up either to improve their national team or stop the player from improving another national team.

Also, the foreign based players can't be blamed for choosing other national ahead of Nigeria. After reaching their potential, as they have better chance of being successful in those national team than Nigeria.

The Nigeria FA must also be very observant and persuasive when trying to lure those foreign born national to the national team. We need to be able to convince them that the future is bright for the national team.
