BARAJ92:
ON THE ISSUE OF FOREIGN-BORN NIGERIAN
Nigeria FA always wait for the player to boom before given a call up as the national team is for only those who are ready to deliver. The National team is not for try and error.

We have many Nigerian in various youth academy, just few of them fulfil their potentials even England does not just call up a player because the player has potential. The player must be seen to add value to the team or can add value to another national team, hence, the call-up either to improve their national team or stop the player from improving another national team.

Also, the foreign based players can't be blamed for choosing other national ahead of Nigeria. After reaching their potential, as they have better chance of being successful in those national team than Nigeria.

The Nigeria FA must also be very observant and persuasive when trying to lure those foreign born national to the national team. We need to be able to convince them that the future is bright for the national team.
this is highly debatable

Of all the foreigners that have chosen these foreign countries over Nigeria, which of them is the most accomplished? We can put that person's accomplishments next to that of our most accomplished home grown player, Kanu, and see how they measure.

I dare say, no foreign born player that has chosen a foreign team has reached great heights with them, but we can also argue, that those who have chosen Nigeria have not had it great as well.....Odemwingie has to be the most accomplished foreign born player for Nigeria so far, but Iwobi and Ekong will surpass him. I believe so. Yet to see any foreign born that will surpass Kanu so far sha.

oga are you here to support the 3Lions or the super eagles?

it seems like this Anglo Nigerian kids... your first point of loyalty is England...Nigeria is like a back up option for you especially when you wanna brag and bully those with inferiority complex....

I am not sure what your point so l really not sure how to approach it.

Supporting the 3 Lions is not an option compared to the SE.

The core purpose of this discourse is what's best for the SE, from that position we have consider the best players for the SE.

I know far more about Nigerian origin players in the UK thier clubs, coaches, agents, and some players personally over the long term.

As a consequence l don't talk from media reports but first hand experience and or knowledge.

I wilk not talk about Warri Wolves with any degree of substance. I will talk less about European than English football. Just as I leave talk about the Nigerian league to BascoVanVeli, icon and TheGoodJoe.

I don't call them biased because they have an In depth underpinning knowledge if Nigerian / African football.

But you do,.

Why must we wait for Oyibo to recognise our players before we do.

By now Eze ( who I never rated initially) Tomori ( who l also dismissed initially) and Ovie, Ademola and Tega if Amaju had not opened his big Warri mouth.

Would all be SE players.

I hope we do not miss Eze he is on Fire.

Oga I disagree on the claim that tomori was waiting for Nigeria to call but didn't get any few months ago. Even when he was doing well in the championship in the colors of derby he was approached and his response was that he is focused on making the English u21 team to the just concluded euro u21 championship, further stated that he is open to playing for Nigeria but need little time.

Ademola lookman also had hopes of making the English u21 team to the competition but was dropped which made him have a change of heart to play for 9ja.

Make we no dey make assumptions and putting the blame on Pinnick and the football house always. In the case of Tammy, even if Pinnick didn't let the cat out of the bag to the media the lad still have the choice to make. Because the media broadcast and noise is not enough reason to alert the English FA to swoop on tying Tammy down.

If truly Tammy wants to play for Nigeria who offered him a chnace to play in the greatest competition in this world which is the fifa world cup even when he was unproven and he turned it down that means playing for the English senior team have been a dream he wants to achieve.

This kids overseas have minds of their own and make their decision singlehandedly without much input from their parents.

If the lure to play in the fifa world cup can't
attract Tammy to play for us then when he wasn't really on the sight of the English FA I wonder what next will make him turn to rep us now making the 3 lion team seem feasible
komekn:

I can say Categorically as at a few months ago Tomori was waiting for Nigeria and the NFF to call. The same thing with Oviemuno and Seyi Ojo.

But NUTTIN happened.

We the NFF lack integrity we don't understand the word honouring your word we say one thing and do another. It's not entirely fault of Rohr but all these behind and around him.

If he continues doing well for an elite club like Chelsea, he would leapfrog those names from the no.8 - 3 before Xmas.

This is why I don't wish this guys have good games. I had wished Tammy kept flattering to deceive, so that England would overlook him for us, same with Tomori. When dey do well, I get scared bkus we sure gonna lose them, but some misguided loathsome hypocrites in here wouldn't understand that, hence mistake it for hate.

Just imagine an Osimhen - Tammy front line in a 442 formation bro. No be die?

The Tammy-Osimhen Striking Duo Fantasy

The way Nigerians are just fantasizing this Osimhen-Tammy dream partnership on Twitter na wa ooo... lol

Two top scorers in their leagues... two of the hottest strikers in Europe at the moment... the two best hottest forwards in world football currently... Tammy Abraham (21yrs) and Victor Osimhen (20yrs).

John Ogu made a tweet about it and got everyone talking.

He said.. "Imagine Super Eagles go 4-4-2 with @victorosimhen9 and @tammyabraham upfront"

Someone made a tweet saying...

"Hi Osimhen,

I am Tammy Abraham. Nice to be your strike partner." grin

Another replied..

"@alexiwobi calling....... Hey Tammy Abraham, want some assistance? I just finished assisting osimhen and I'm ready to give more."

Then one savage came from nowhere and dropped this...

"Tammy Abraham’s international career is a lose lose scenario. He ain’t starting over Osimhen and he’s definitely not starting over Kane. He should go and find a Ghanaian grandmother and declare for them."

Please let's also blame him for the loss of Dele Alli, Agbonlahor, and co
Victor Moses and Iwobi are not humans neither do they have careers to protect.

Please get me right

I don't buy this idea of blaming one person for Tammy Abraham personal decision (which I believe he pondered on and carefully arrived at)

Was the Nigerian media silent about our pursuit of Iwobi and Moses before we finally got them?

It's his career. We can only wish him all the best as a British with Nigerian descent. That's all.

Dominic Iorfa that wanted to guide his career jealously, we all know where it landed him.
