Hello everyone on this super informative thread
My issue is that all my working life has been with my father's company and I wasn't paid a regular salary. There are large volume transactions from the company account to mine and vice-versa.
Can I include this as work experience?

Chief, you are right to be concerned.

NOC match verification is strict at the IRCC stage. You need to ensure that your work reference letter matches your chosen NOC.

It can be terrible to get a refusal months into eAPR stage after spending so much time on the PNP stage.

I don enter am oooo. One my experience was flagged. The more I look at it, the more I want to agree that it is 2171 and not 1122.

Hello pls, does CES and IQAS verify OND and BSc as two or more certificate? Am trying to avoid WES palava if possible. Duration is not a problem.
Also who knows if ICES would evaluate BSc and unilag HRDC as two or more certificates?

Thanks in advance as I await your response

CoolGuyB:
Hello Psalmizt,

Not a Subject Matter Expert on this matter yet, but I have recently had to read around this particular topic.

My Take

I'll say do not change NOCs on your IRCC profile pre-ITA - you do not necessarily have full information on what criteria the PNP programme used in selecting you for consideration for nomination. For instance, it might be that you must have 3+ years of work experience in a particular NOC (e.g.1122) within the past 5 years.

There's a window you can use to 'optimise' your work experience/ NOC on your e-APR. You however need to ensure that if your provincial nomination is tied to a particular NOC (=occupation in demand), whatever changes you (propose to) make should not result in you attaining a lower number of years of work experience in that NOC that made you qualify for the Provincial Nomination in the first place. Post-AOR, the PNP-route assessment process starts with the IRCC Officer evaluating your eligibility against the criteria (as at your nomination date) for the particular PNP programme you were nominated under - any post-ITA discrepancy may be a red flag.

Folks who modified their NOCs post-ITA may not have had the PNP assessment criteria to worry about. As far as they still meet (or surpass) the qualifying criteria for the number of work-experience years in a qualifying NOC, they will scale the Express Entry-FSW assessment hurdle for work experience and may not have had to write an LOE for such.

Chief, can I PM? My fears have come true

Simulate your CRS score. Send your documents to sort out your ECA (evaluation of degrees). Also sit for IELTS and aim for 8777 (8 in listening).

I have done the simulation, also planning to send my documents for evaluation. Thanks a lot

Which professional certificate? OND and HND is sufficient.
I was thinking ACCA but if I don’t have to include it then it is fine. Thanks for your reply

Good evening house

Please I have a very serious question to ask

Are there any dire consequences if one gets married post AOR

And now decided to add spouse then?

Could it have negative impact on one's EE application?

I just looked through their website. You are correct. I didn't know Naija degree holders had to send a copy of their degree. For my own country of study, they only required transcripts. My apologies

It's ok. Evaluating Nigerian credentials is quite complicated with wes.

I apologize that this is a late PPR post. I have been somewhat overwhelmed by so much, but then I am reminded that the blessings of God maketh rich and addeth no sorrow. Also, this thread has been a blessing to me, this is my own small way of adding to the wealth of information here. So here goes my ppr gist.

I did a 3 months course in disability with them and I am assessing the the certificate along with my BSc.

I will appreciate your help.

Nope. You'll have to raise a CSE and notify IRCC though. Type "raising cse for marriage" on the search bar above. Someone gave details to this question of urs arnd 2017.

Elders and seniors in the house, please I need a quick consult. My NOC code as a microbiologist is 2121 for biologists and related scientists. However, I'm stating my experience as a biology course and lab instructor during my NYSC. Am I right to use the same code (2121) for this experience? Please help, what code do I use for this?

This has been said over and over again. Your NOC doesn’t have to match with your course of study! Let me say it again, Your course of study doesn’t matter in choosing NOC code. It’s your work experience that matters! As a biology course and lab instructor (in a secondary school, I guess, I may be wrong) YOU WERE/ARE A TEACHER. Forget the microbiologist thingy because if you choose that, your application will be flagged.
