https://www.androidpolice.com/2019/03/09/samsung-galaxy-s10-face-unlock-can-be-fooled-by-a-photo-video-or-even-your-sister/

Very very secured. That's why it's upper midrange

Awesome. What about updates?

I don't believe in unnecessary updates. If a phone is working well; no bug at all, i don't see the need for updates. Its still on Android 8 Oreo tho, more reason i like it.

No updates. It seems Lenovo are allergic to updates, one of the few downsides to the K5 Pro. Although you can unlock the bootloader.

And i don't even wanna know how to do that. Totally unnecessary for me. I actually love the phone the way it is

No thread for review na why... It's one very underated phone and i don't know why. I love everything about the phone; and coming from a critic like myself, that's a whole lot... For those who arent so attached to miui and just want a software close to stock, Lenovo k5 pro is def the phone for them... Battery wise, i feel it out performs the Redmi 7, even though it comes with a FHD res screen. Below is my SOT... And i really suffered the phone, pes 2019, throughout browsing, music for some time, watched movies, YouTube, etc
Pls open. AThread and review this phone thanks

Maybe later. Considering it's an old phone(2018), people might be apprehensive about getting it. They'll prefer to go for something more recent. I think that's why many others hold back from doing a review of the device. It's a very great device tho, especially if you like stock android

I specifically said Iris recognition is better than facial recognition. I didn't in any way say that iris recognition is fool proof. I only implied that iris recognition is less susceptible to hacking.

Note that even finger print scanner, password and all measures of security can be hacked and fooled.
What makes one better than the other is its ease of access. In other words how easy its to fool a security system.
Facial recognition is the worst
And you can check iris and fingerprint are one of the safest in the world

No update to android 9. Stuck with 8. My experience so far has been wonderful. It's an all-rounder. Great battery life, fast charging, good cameras, great screen, awesome performance and great multitasking, very light and thin. In short, i love the device

Lol i assure you that i saw that on a website. Joking aside, you cant compare facial recognition to iris. On the ladder of "ways of securing your phone" facial recognition is at the bottom. It provides little or no protection for its users.

I think thats why Xiaomi only gives it to a specific region and not to the other. Because its not trustworthy i guess.

How many new phones come with Iris Scanners these days? Even the S10 ditched the feature

Even at that its either one or the other on these midrange phones. Only the flagships come fully packed at an exorbitant price. At least if i had that IR blaster i wouldn't be dragging remote over here.

Me and my younger sis looks so much a like but she can't open my phone o, it's just annoying that whenever anyone most especially my siblings wants access to my phone , they just wave it across my face and it's really sharp where there's light so I just removed it.

When last did Samsung put an IR blaster on a flagship or any phone as a whole?

2015 with galaxy S6 series.

How large is the battery?

It's 4,030mAh but don't let the sheet spec fool you.

Xiaomi's miui does an excellent job in power management. It is so aggressive in shutting down background processes so much so that some western users find it extremely annoying.

Here is a note on power consumption on the k20 by notebook check, it says it manages power better than devices with similar chipset . The k20 has 4000 mAh battery.

Grandmufti where art thou? It's 12 a.m .
