I observed that Oando shares has been dropping ever since SEC investigation, does anyone have details on the allegations especially if it will affect the company's future viability. I am looking to buy the shares now that it is low.

Oga, you have not been following the news about OandO.

That coy should be delisted IMO

This means that the Saudis may have to make do with approx 4M bpd of oil output !!
In the short term, this is a plus for oil price. Mid-term impact will however depend on how fast and well the kingdom restores outage by recovering lost qtys.

This should lend a helping hand in support to the Nigerian economy(short term revenue-earnings in view) given that the country had just agreed to a supply cut in the last opec meeting.
In retrospect, the shortfall in revenue from reduced supply can be supported by higher pricing.(while it last)
That said, I still believe that the mid to long term future prospect of oil remains bleak.
Unfortunately, the thing about gross incompetence means that our leaders are yet to realize or perhaps come to terms with that.

In the interim, this should indirectly aide some of the factors that could transmit positive vibes in the equity market.

...I expect a further boost in the current positive mkt trend.

Do think this will push FO and Conoil prices North?

YES, I believe it will eventually break out sooner than later !!
Think the stock(UBA) is currently finding its bottom while gradually drifting away from its yr low.

ACCESS though, appear to have more strength with its drifting, given that the stock has just recorded the highest weekly closure on volume YTD !!(year-to-date)

I also like the current technical postures of coys like CAVERTON, UACN, ZENITH and AIICO.

Over to @ Bullbearmkt and Agba for further technical input.

You do not need a fundamental or technical analyst to tell you dt oando is not a sustainable business with Wale and Boyo @ the helms. The last pre forensic audit report was damning against the management of the company. Any result being released by oando in terms of profitability and Discounted cash flow might not be the true picture. Oando as a company is swimming in 4 quadrant debts.
However, with the political connection of Wale and Oando, they might get two to three major contracts from the FGN.
Already, they have been awarded a gas pipeline contract the detail of which is not too clear in terms of execution and implementation.
https://punchng.com/2-8bn-pipeline-contract-to-oando-firm-followed-due-process-nnpc/
Promising.... Yes the company is promising, for instance, A major oil and gas discovery was recently made in one of oando (20%)joint venture with NNPC(60%) NAOC(20%) OML61.
The company also won CRUDE FOR FUEL SWAP CONTRACT FROM THE NNPC.
Putting all these together
A patient investor with good risk appetite, and ready to tie money down can go ahead and mop OANDO @..@$0.01/Share. Or N3. 8
The irony of it, most people in government are busy mopping up OANDO shares on daily basis.
I am of the view that Wale is trying to prove public opinions wrong by systematically return Oando to profitability. How he is going to do it is what no one can say due to the wrought on the ground.

Profitability. 2019e 2020e
Operating Margin (EBIT / Sales)6,89% 8,21%
Operating Leverage (Delta EBIT / Delta Sales)-8,46x
Net Margin (Net Profit / Revenue) 0 0
ROE (Net Profit / Equities) 7,00% 6,00%
CONCLUSION.... A POTENTIAL DEBT THAT MIGHT TURN TO ASSET. ONLY FOR RISK TAKER,
BE READY TO HOLD OANDO FOR 10 YRS, BY THEN THE 4 QUADRANT DEBTS OF TODAY WOULD HAVE TURNED INTO A HUGE ASSETS.

I can only say u that both stocks are a BUY for us.
With or without that factor, both assets have been unjustly underpriced.(current valuation in view)
...and it can only be a matter of time before their current mkt prices rises to reflect their earnings drive and bridge the gap with inherent VALUE !!

But then again, this is NOT an investment recommendation.

...good observation on the stock. Looking at the weekly chart, the resistance is getting set to be broken. It requires higher volume to do this which is presently not seen. However, there is an increase in momentum on both daily & weekly & this could break the resistance as well.

Oil To Hit $100? Pompeo Blames Iran For "Unprecedented" Drone Attack That Crippled Largest Saudi Oil Processing Facility

In a sharp, if perhaps not unexpected, escalation, US Secretary of State - now without John Bolton by his side - tweeted at 4pm on Saturday, that contrary to earlier reports, "there is no evidence the attacks came from Yemen" and instead accused Iran of launching today's "unprecedented attack on the world’s energy supply" which has now indefinitely taken offline as much as 5mmb/d in Saudi crude production.

Traders have scrambled to calculate what the limit move in oil would be, after Saturday’s drone attack on the ‘’world’s most important oil processing plant’’. And moments ago, Brent crude reopened for trading, exploding almost 20% higher, its biggest jump in 28-years time.

This attack has resulted in the single-worst disruption in oil markets ever, surpassing the loss of Kuwaiti and Iraqi petroleum supply in August 1990, when Iraq invaded its southern neighbor. It also exceeds the loss of Iranian oil output in 1979 during the Islamic Revolution, according to data from the U.S. Department of Energy."

Donald Trump has said the US was “locked and loaded” and to ready respond to drone attacks on a petroleum processing facility in Saudi Arabia, saying the US knew who was behind them.

The US president tweeted on Sunday night that he had “reason to believe that we know the culprit” behind the series of attacks on the Abqaiq facility, which is the world’s largest petroleum processing plant. The attacks disrupted more than half of the kingdom’s oil output and will affect global supplies.

Trump tweeted: “[We] are locked and loaded depending on verification, but are waiting to hear from the Kingdom [of Saudi Arabia] as to who they believe was the cause of this attack and under what terms we would proceed!”
