Hi, I also have just SFM to write but what I really need is CIMA since that’s what i’ll use in Canada. I already have AOR, just want to get CIMA to help with a good job in Canada.
I was told by a CIMA rep that if I pass the SFM to finish the ICAN I only need to write Case study in CIMA. Isn’t this the best option? Is there something I don’t know cry

Sashafm:

Yes o , the only paper left for me is SFM . I have been studying for it but will dump it and face the CIMA, since its the CIMA that can help me boost my immigration dreams at the moment. If i can't meet up to write it this November, I will push it to May. There's no rush so far I can get my ITA this year God willing.

The issue is we don't know how WES will rate the ICAN-CIMA conversion with all those awoof exemptions . and nobody has done it before to tell us if it's positively evaluated.

So to be safe and fast, some of us are taking the mumu route by writing BA1-4 jeje since that one has been tried and tested.

If you have the funds
No harm in running both

Cima real exams questions are similar to the one in kaplan probably because kaplan is sole cima approved learning partner.

I see your point

However I can't help
Because I don't even know what the materials look like cheesy
However the materials from Astranti are okay
Once you learn the concepts there
You are good to go
I don't even practice past questions
I just read and understand

I may be wrong, but i think the certificate name is Certificate in business accounting. it wont pop up, so you have to type it in. Country is UK, CIMA will pop up in the drop down option, so select it. major is accounting.

To add
You need to indicate that it was done by correspondence
This will save you some trouble in future

And besides

It's now 2 down two to go for me

I cannot find the page again o

But its in the general express entry thread
From page 580 to the end sha
It was mentioned there.
One's experience
He was asked to provide A PCC because he put ACCA UK as a qualification that was evaluated
But did not indicate that it was done from Nigeria (meaning by correspondence

Something in that line
So someone else who went thru the same route said he put the country as NIGERIA by correspondence
Something like that

oh i see, i didnt see that option- as correspondence there sha. But people do courses remotely all the time, we can always explain that, it doesnt render the certificate invalid. make we sha get ITA first grin grin grin

My own headache actually is how to solve my reference letter debacle
That is really a small hindrance to me.
This correspondence thing can be handled easily

Yea

Since I graduated from school years back

I have not stayed one year continuity in one place
What that means is that I have to fall back to my NYSC experience

That one is 12 months continuous
But that one was done in a school far far from Lagos
And getting the reference letter will be war

It's a slim chance at best

That is really my headache

I hope there is a way around the reference letter thing
