AM alert
Interview -28th August (funded 10,236 before interview)

teb123:
Transcript

I had my interview today at the Lagos embassy.

I left Ogudu around 5:16 am and got to Walter Carrington by 5:40 am. They asked us not to loiter around so I went to the car park and came back by 6:10 am. Paulinus came to shout at us for hanging around blah blah blah. By 6:30 I joined the queue and he started calling people to arrange their documents. (PS: Follow the document format that has been posted on the group several times, it'll make things much easier for you.) Paulinus didn't have to say a word to me because I had everything prepared in the right format and I followed instructions.

Anyways, fast-forward to the interview. I was interviewed by a nice lady in room 3.

What are you here for.
Have you funded? how much did you fund?
What did you study?
Me: Psychology.
How is the MSc related to your BSc?
Tell me about temperament?
What is the name of your university?
Is it possible to be Sanguine and choleric?
VO: Masters or BSc.? MSc. Usability Engineering
Let me have your documents, visa fee, photographs and passport.
Placed my fingers for biometrics and she gave me two forms to confirm my details and sign.
Why this course?
Why Germany? Why not UK, US or Canada?
Mention some prominent Psychologists?
Tell me what you know about Germany. She nodded in affirmation and then asked me to stop after listing like 10 facts about germany.
What was your Bsc project topic?
Where are you going to?
Do you speak german? What is the language of instruction of your course?
What do you do? How much do you earn?
What do you plan to do after your Msc?
Do you know anyone in Germany?
Have you ever applied for a visa in this embassy?
Do you have any question for me?
drop the phone, you can leave now.

Special shoutout to dukeokafor , your selflessness is out of this world.

I was told to bring a valid incoming insurance (NOT travel health insurance), valid for six months starting from the date of travel. Is it the same as travel insurance? And can I get it at AXA Mansard?

Am cannot be deferred.
Better you submit your passport (Indicate a far travel date like November so that your 6 months visa can still get to April 2020) and get your visa and pray that the visa still allows you to travel by the time you want to go.
Write to your school and check if they can defer to summer for you, then you can still travel with the same visa.

IF NOT

You still have to face Paulinus.

Cheers!

Apply for VPD on Uniassist. Then you apply on the TUM portal.
To apply for VPD, scroll through my posts, I once gave someone directions on how to do so.
Does this follow the same procedure for Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences - ie apply for VPD. Thanks

No time to even move around. You will probably get to the hotel 11-12 pm, you will be too tired to do anything and you re most likely going to be up by 6-7 am
builderperry:
Nice, Are you allowed to leave the hotel and enter Egypt for sightseeing or is the hotel inside the airport?

I didn't forget brother. I did post my interview testimony but it couldn't not appear here.during my interview I opted to speak deutsch at some point. I guess that's why it was put down.
Did speaking deutsch help your case?

... Hi sassy92, application via Uniassist costs 75 euros... Does that mean I still have to cover cost of shipping the documents from Abuja To their address in Berlin. If so, pls do you have idea how much it costs you to ship?

Yes you'll still have to pay for shipping, aside the Uniassist fee. The cost of shipping depends on the courier you use, DHL is expensive, Fedex/TNT are affordable. You can also combine docs with other people shipping to Uniassist and split the cost amongst yourselves.
