The issue still remain in MIUI EU. Has something to do with WiFi network you're connected to being a mobile hotspot from another smartphone and not like a mifi or WiFi.

You can go to the downloads app, settings and change it from unlimited to 100MB but you will not be able to download anything above 100MB from the Google play store.

About installing the ROM, it is a fairly easy process, that is of course if you don't complicate things. grin

Thanks bro for this piece of info. I'd have to leave it or port to the global rom then. let me try changing from unlimited and see if it works. Gracias!

Make sure you had logged in on the old phone, then simply put on your data and log in on the new phone it will automatically restore.

I don't think the RN8 will be below 60k because the RN7 I bought was around 67k. Personally, I love the U notch and IR blaster abd that's the reason why I bought the RN7.

it applies to chinese rom only. if you are on global rom you won't experience the issue.

It might be considering Xiaomi stuck to the same base price for both phones despite the RN8 base been 4/64

Alright. If the WiFi network you're connected to isn't a mobile hotspot then it shouldn't be an issue.

Who else noticed that the recent system update causes battery drainage....? Since i updated my batterxy dies faster than usual.. noticebly fast.....

And also how do one go back to previous updates..cause i wish i never updated my Mui to the latest version as was prompted

Yes, I hate thing called notch and what sweet me about xiaomi is the IR blaster, faster finger print sensor, OTA, and Night mode and all this ain't present on k5 pro

Make sure you have your contacts sync with Gmail contacts else, na exercise in futility.

Settings > Sync > Google > choose the email account >
tick "contacts" > sync now
contacts is not there to tick/click

Well, make we dey see sha. I will advise you go for the RN8 when it comes out. The experience I am having with my RN7 is BLISS. QI expect RN8 to deliver a better User Experience.

.Just export to storage, copy and copy to your new device. Then you can activate Google contact sync on the new device.

It's quite a simple process, I wonder why it didn't work. Make sure that on the old phone your contacts on your Gmail account is sync properly. As genius43 recommended earlier.
